#10 in the AP

If we had won last week we would still be #2.

AP voters think the Louisville flop was the beginning of yet another late season collapse under Cristobal. Do you think that is an unfair assumption given Cristobal’s track record?
Yes. Wait for it to actually happen (which one loss isn't) instead of punishing a team this year for a hypothetical, no matter how likely it is to happen.

You make as many dumb comments on here as anyone else, so you qualify.

If we don't lose, we will end up #4 or #5 by year's end. Last year, neither of the two teams that played in the natty were conference champs.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion on CIS, but I still believe we CAN go all the way and become national champs. It's HIGHLY unlikely, but unlike past years, we actually have the fire power to make a real run. It just sucks that we need so much help to make it to the ACC CH GM, but it is what it is.

Keep improving (especially Dawson) and the sky's the limit. As always, we shall see...
We’re in the ACC. They aren’t give Miami the same treatment as a ND or a non conference champ SEC/B10 team.

We dropped to 10.5 after a 35 point win. We need to win out, and teams in front of us need to lose.

I would have dropped us too. Fans complain that voters only look at box scores and don’t watch the games. Thinking Miami shouldn’t have dropped because we won 42-7 is a good example of this.

The first half effort was beyond pathetic. teams have to play 4 quarters of football. For half the game it looked like Miami was going to be upset at home for the second game in a row. And Stanford is one of the worst teams in cfb. If the Louisville loss doesn’t happen, then I agree getting dropped was unwarranted. But as it stands, Miami played six consecutive quarters of the worst football you will ever see.

People can’t really be whining about getting jumped by teams that both beat ranked opponents, can they?

Yes. Ole Miss jumped GT by going on the road and beating Oklahoma. Vandy beat ranked Missouri, so yeah, better wins than Stanford or Syracuse for us and GT.

I’ve seen some fans taking this too personally in multiple threads

They’re just saying the same thing that we are all saying:

1. The ACC sucks
2. We don’t trust Miami late in the season

If we keep winning then whatever happens in the ACC we will be in

We don’t have any volatility left on the schedule so we are just gonna kind of hang around while other ranked teams knock eachother around

Yall said your self, last years champ was not a conference champion. Really who gives a S**t about the ACC Playoffs. Get to the CFB playoffs. Win out we are in, unless they F**k us hard, which is always possible. 1-0 baby 1-0.

It’s funny as **** seeing Miami fans trashing the team, Mario, Beck, Dawson & the water girl, but then ***** about the rankings. We’re a top 10 team in the country. Is everything perfect & are we week-to-week? No, but all top teams are probably in the same boat at this point, other than maybe Ohio State, Indiana & possibly Texas A&M.

Two SEC teams jump two ACC team that all won.
Dropping Miami and Georgia Tech, who both won convincingly is BS.
they want a minimum of 4 teams in the playoffs. I saw something this morning that was talking about how there could be 5 "deserving" SEC teams... They are going to go down swinging on the "Strength of Schedule" argument.....

This started back in August when they made sure to rank as many as possible

Even before that… way back when Miami was headed to the B1G and SEC in the Mega Thread and to Jordan Brand or Nike.

The powers are against us, but we got Lt. Rad Dan navigating these choppy waters.

The fix has always been in. Our self-inflicted wounds make the fix more fixed, that’s all.

27 teams left in the hunt. Counting all g5 teams as 1.
Nd
6 ACC teams with 0-2 losses
6 b12 teams with 0-2 losses
8 b1g teams with 0-2 losses
9 sec teams with 0-2 losses

5 p4 undefeated teams.

GT vs UGA plus acc if they win acc games
BYU has 2 road games vs ranked plus b12 if they win.
OSU @mich, likely vs Indiana for b1g
Indiana - almost a G5 schedule
Texas AM- @mizzu, @Texas then sec if they make it,

Lots of 1&2 loss teams that will get pushed out of the race. Fully the race to clean up by mid November. Right about when Miami travels to VT&pitt

Don’t forget Tennessee beat powerhouse Kentucky and jumped 3 spots leap frogging Virginia.

I think there have been 8 teams with fewer than 2 loses than past 2 years combined

UVA took the mighty Belicheck’s to the wire.

The issue is whether people think UVA > TN, GT > Ole Miss and Miami is better than Vandy
