#10 in the AP

If we don't lose, we will end up #4 or #5 by year's end. Last year, neither of the two teams that played in the natty were conference champs.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion on CIS, but I still believe we CAN go all the way and become national champs. It's HIGHLY unlikely, but unlike past years, we actually have the fire power to make a real run. It just sucks that we need so much help to make it to the ACC CH GM, but it is what it is.

Keep improving (especially Dawson) and the sky's the limit. As always, we shall see...

I think we can win it all

I also think we can drop 2 more games before the end of the season

Real mind ****, that

I like your optimism.

But for me, UM hasn't won a bowl game in a thousand years, so expecting them to win 3 or 4 post season games in a row this season alone seems far fetched.

Watching first quarter made me think we drop a few more games then watching the other 2 1/2 make me think cfp run.

Again I don’t think we did anything to drop nor did other teams do much to jump. I prefer not being ranked high becuase historically we can’t handle it. So just win out and control what we can.

Only in the ACC can you win 42-7 and still drop in the polls so they can move a bad SEC team ahead of you.

I would have dropped us too. Fans complain that voters only look at box scores and don’t watch the games. Thinking Miami shouldn’t have dropped because we won 42-7 is a good example of this.

The first half effort was beyond pathetic. teams have to play 4 quarters of football. For half the game it looked like Miami was going to be upset at home for the second game in a row. And Stanford is one of the worst teams in cfb. If the Louisville loss doesn’t happen, then I agree getting dropped was unwarranted. But as it stands, Miami played six consecutive quarters of the worst football you will ever see.

I just can't see it. If the defense were elite that would be another story, but I can't see this offense winning anything with a defense that is just very good. Playoffs are about getting hot at the right though so I'll believe it when I see the team from the first 4 games.

Two SEC teams jump two ACC team that all won.
Dropping Miami and Georgia Tech, who both won convincingly is BS.
Exactly. It’s not really about that we got jumped this one time really. It’s the uneven playing field that they have created. When SEC teams lose they barely drop. When ACC teams lose they drop like a rock. They build up the narrative on the teams in that conference so they can say well they are all good and they beat up on each other.

Lotta hyperbole packed in that commentary.

No team should drop after WINNING 42-7. GT throttled their opponent and also dropped. Any platitudes you’d like to throw at that one, or you just hate the Canes?

If we had won last week we would still be #2.

AP voters think the Louisville flop was the beginning of yet another late season collapse under Cristobal. Do you think that is an unfair assumption given Cristobal’s track record?

Yeah I hate the Canes.
