#1 Class on Rivals

but they hate us y r we ranked number 1?

Cause it's always been BS. They don't hate our commits, its we are finally getting the kids we have had to down in SFLA. Sure, we won't get all of them, but if we get the majority we will always have stacked classes on paper.

Don't forget Blades at #39

the star average is where you have to look. 3.95 is ELITE!!

Golden years that average was hovering around 3.1-3.2, which is laughable

I kinda don't care about to rankings nationwide. What i do care about is we have like pretty much all the top rank players in the state. FSU has one of our Al Golden type classes. To win you have to get the best players from the state. Not too many players are leaving south FL that we want and we are doing well central and North FL. It will tell in a couple of years. Our coaches are bullies on the recruiting trail. It's good to see us up there as well. When we get on the field with LSU, Bama etc we will be toe to toe talent wise. Can't wait

They hate Miami commits, must be a fluke!

Rivals usually do but this year they seem higher on our guys than the other services like espn and 247
I never subscribed to this theory. We were average at recruiting under El Foldo. That's why we struggled with teams like UNC and VT. We got good players but not enough to compete for national titles. Now we're trending that way.

Exactly. Only site that actively skews their rankings to fit an agenda is ESPN, but it has nothing to do with Miami and everything to do with their Under Armor All-star game.

I agree but u have some fans here who think if we get kids they drop there ranking....the reason back then they did is because the players weren't that great. Now we r getting a different kind of athlete like when butch came and everyone sees it so we r getting the credit for it.

AG was a terrible recruiter.....i remember people thinking he was godly and never understood y they thought our classes were good. All I had to do was look at fsus calss during that time and knew they had better players across the board.

Exactly its y those VT and UNC teams competed with us cuz we had similar athletes tier 2-3 guys with very little tier 1 guys that couldnt do it by themselves

I trust Richt and his staff to evaluate players better than Rivals and the other scouting agencies. J Jackson and Garvin for example ... but it is nice to get the recognition.

With our current score of 2538, we would have ended up #9 last year, #6 in 2016 and tied at #8 in 2015, virtually identical to where LSU fell out each of those years. Not a bad spot to be with 6 months remaining, and 10+ kids to still add to the class.

That average star ranking is ****. The blue chip ratio is more predictive than overall ranking. We are well above the blue chip ration right now and that's all that matters.

everyone knew Garvin was a beast but some sites miss these guys.........If Clemson was hard on him thats a good sign to me

garvin slipped through the cracks because he skipped the camp circuits. Unlikely that the "experts" ever did more than watch his highlight tape one time before ranking him a 3* and then never looking again.

WOW @ Jobe falling out of the Rivals 250... that had to be an oversight, especially since he wasn't listed as a "Big Slider" in the write-up.

The Scaife thing just shows how much we should weigh the star process versus the coaches' assessment.
