#1 4-star Juco TE makes it official.

It's also not a position of need. It would be cool to bring in MORE studs on defense for the next coach.

Im not convinced that coach golden thinks so.

My question: Why take a juco TE with our current roster? The only answer I can come up with is that coach golden is not convinced that either Jake O or Chris Herndon will be ready for prime time next fall.

Or Sandland or Njoku?

Golden is not the best judge of talent either.

Sandland is gone bro...

This is a good take. We lose Clive this year. Stan, O'Donnel and Gray are all going to be Juniors next year. Stan is the only guy that will play out of that group. Herndon will be a SO and can be moved to FB to provide depth. Njoku will be playing his first year at TE and will need to add weight and learn the position.

Washington can come in right away and compete for the #2 job, he will also have 4 years so in 2 years when Stan leaves, it will be just Washington (JR), Herndon (SR) and Njoku (JR). We also use a lot of 2 TE sets so we need at least 3-4 healthy TE on the roster at all times.

This is what we have coming back next year at TE:
JR: Stan Dobard: 4.97 40 (4.88 best), 4.67 20, 15 reps of 225, 430 squat, 286 power clean, 350 bp
SO: Chris Herndon: 4.82 40 (4.79 best), 4.62 20, 17 reps of 225
rFR:David Njoku: 4.76 40 (4.67 best), 4.64 20, nine reps of 225, 275 power clean, 35.5 vert

rJR:Jake O'Donnell: Didn't test in running events, 18 reps of 225, 335 bp
rJR: Gray Crow: 5.32 40 (5.26 best), 4.76 20, eight reps of 225, 365 squat, 252 power clean, 280 bp, 26 vert

Quit with the diarrhea of bullchit. I meant Dobard.
