0 points off turnovers vs Louisville

After the first 2 drives the defense woke up. 10 drives and 10 points from that point forward. They got us back in the game with the fumble recovery in the 4th.

Would I have liked more negative plays?...sure...but if you told me they gave up 24 points I would have thought we won by at least 7 points.

OJ dropped a few that we needed.
Agreed. In a game like that when the offense needs help you have to come away with the ball if you gets hands on it. Louisville came away with everything their defense touched. This game ain’t on the defense although I was disappointed with the gameplan on the first two drives.!

If they tackled better they probably hold Louisville to 14pts.
Our tackling was terrible. I am sick we didn’t adjust to the crosser after the second time. And as mentioned I wish we came away with some of those near picks. But surrendering 24 points on 4 turnovers and multiple quick 3 and outs is about as much as you can ask for

The defense played better but they still gave up too many 3rd down conversions.

They also let Bell have his way, repeatedly going across the field. He should have been bracketed on 3rd down, especially after his first TD

Bracket coverage? Trap coverage? That sounds like super exotic stuff. Too fancy for us even after it took 2 drives for our staff to realize that Moss was going to get the ball out quick.

We played well on defense after the 14-0 start but how we weren't prepared for the crossing routes and quick passing game I have no idea.

The defense played well enough to win. I don’t love the fact that they gave up 14 points in the first two drives to put us in a hole, but each play and point is worth the same, regardless of when they happen. Overall, they played well enough to win, and even basically scored a TD for us too.

The offense…**** me running. Essentially 13 points, 4 turnovers, several braindead penalties. And got bailed out a couple times too. That was an awful performance. I’m scared to look at the numbers overall tomorrow. This is just a very average offense right now, no matter how you slice it. And that’s not good enough.

But yeah, I liked how the defense responded. Down 24-13 and it’s Louisville’s ball in the 4th quarter, things are not great, Bob. Force a violent turnover, offense cashes in 24-21. We’re alive, but we need you again. They give up 2 first downs, but they do their job, give the offense a chance to win the game, and Louisville only burns a little over 3 minutes off the clock. Offense shoots itself in the **** again, game over.

I’d have loved to have started a little quicker, but overall if your offense turns it over 4 times, and you still only give up 24 points and 367 yards in the year of our lord 2025, you should win. This offense should score 30 every single week if we think we’re winning something significant this year. So far, not good enough.

Defense definitely stiffened after the to s. The to,s hurt .our offensive production though

Bell was literally 20+ catches and 300+ yards coming in.. should have been a marked man from jump.. I don't like defenses that don't take away team main weapons when it's their only weapon they have shown.. defense look like they didn't scout **** in 2 weeks..

Yeah def a head scratcher. You knew it was coming from home but it’s like the defense didn’t

I believe Beck is trying to make sure we get practice in those situations

Very selfless of him honestly
I know our 4 corners are pretty good, but we might want to give a scout team corner a look at some point. Halfway through the season, they gotta be like prime Neon Deion skill level wise at intercepting the ball.

Heatherbeast adjusts well, Louisville came out with the tricky **** to catch us off guard to go up 14 but I love how he made adjustments as the game went on.

Carson beck

we’ve actually given up zero points off of turnovers the entire season (7 turnovers)

Pretty impressive
Mario doesn't deserve a coach like Heatherman. I get the first 2 drives. Louisville did all sorts of trickery plus a fake fg. After that? Defense did enough for the offense to win it

Loss ain’t on the defense in the slightest. The start was god awful but we kept putting them in terrible field position over and over. But there were a lot of frustrating plays. The crossers and the long conversions on the ground. Brown gashed us
