#0 & #8 safeties are missed big time

They definitely leave a big hole in our defense. But what was up with the **** poor tackling today? Linebacker is a major position of need.
Was Popo out? Didn’t recall seeing him out there yesterday.

Yup, next play they score instead of our ball on their 44.

There were some funky 4th downs yesterday.
How about when we stopped them twice on 4th and short?, only to be erased by our time out then a replay?
Mario is good at calling those TO's when we have an opponent stopped dead to rights on a critical 4th down. I'm glad somebody else saw that he did that again.

I’m upset Keionte won’t be able to win the Thorpe bc he **** sure seemed like he earned it. Dude was on another level…

Glad Thomas is ok. Need that cat out there!

The game score is far closer than what the game actually was. But at least Mario got the last score, because 34-17 looks much better than 27-17.

I agree.
Other than the long run you mentioned, VT's 1 touchdown "drive" was when their backup QB hit that 30 yard pass on 4th and 9?

Then the inside kick, smh...which didn't hurt us, but I was yelling "what else?!!" at that point.

Let’s not forget the refs effectively gifted VT their last score by not calling a more then obvious holding call against Mesidor when they heaved it down to the 4 yard line.
You mean on the 4th down that was 4th and 11 rather than 4th and 21 'cos their QB wasn't flagged for blatant intentional grounding?

No, Pruitt grabbed his shoulder pad. His hand looked like it may have briefly grazed the lower part of helmet around the facemask area, but clearly did not grab the facemask.
It did look borderline, but Pruitt sure did not argue with it.

We need Thomas back against Pitt. Great to hear the X-ray was negative. If we are able to pressure their QB we will have opportunities to get multiple INTs. Thomas actually catches the ball when the other teams QB throws it near him.

They are also dangerous attacking the seams with their TEs and their backs (especially Reid if he plays) can be an issue in the passing game. Thomas helps there. A lot.

****t on Pitt!

And that’s heatherman’s position. Hopefully he turns that group around this offseason.
If you remember when he got here our recruiting was erased

We had several targets we had recruited for a while and he hit the hard reset on it

That was shocking but also not shocking

He clearly wasn’t happy with what we’ve been doing and the results on the field just highlight the problems we’ve had

Not to say that everything he is gonna do is gospel but we needed it. The way he prioritized Scott, Thomas, and Toure in a short time gives me a lot of hope. I know Toure is one dimensional but he’s helped a lot

But LB is portal need #1 for me at the moment or at least in the top 3

Agreed. If there is one coach I trust on the staff it’s him. He’s earned the trust with the turnaround we saw this season. It’s actually remarkable after the **** show we saw last year.

Probably the difference between jumping Utah or staying at 13. Mario needs to change offensive philosophy going forward. Score until the double zeros. Don't let teams get cheap scores at the end. They count with this incompetent playoff committee. That is a pathetic group.

I hope mario learned this lesson to the point that he understands it applies in every game, even game #3 or #5, not just #10 and #11.

It is a dumb thing to force on a team, but as you stated, we are trying to impress an incompetent group of people.

huh?? how do you say he didnt argue it, he is legit jumping up and down like a little girl waving his hands saying no no no lol look at the link below around the 1:09 mark (roughly 12:20 left in the third quarter)

That was a bad one but I get why it was made since the ball carriers head did whip around and his hand def goes across his facemask but doesnt look like he ever grabs it. Like it would have been a 5yd penalty under the old facemask rule.

The other two that were pretty bad was the "one handed" catch on 3rd and 9 where both announcers were saying it hit the ground with like 2 min left in the half.

Then the Drones replay where they were trying to figure out if it was a forward pass, fumble or sack. Like 4 min left to go in the game, right before the backup threw the TD. Instead of 4th and 20+ it was 4th and 11.
