Was just reading through the Popo thread and saw a reply from @JgDaCane that gave me an idea for my FIRST thread on here lol…


“When I think of Miami Hurricanes Football, I picture THIS position…”

When I think about Canes football, I usually picture outstanding DBs…we were putting them out like candy for YEARS, it’s wild that we haven’t had any big time first rounders in years (I believe Artie was the last one in 2016 or 17)…RBs would be a close second…I mean Sean (RIP da GOAT) is the whole reason I’m a Canes fan to this day lmbo

What about y’all? What position do y’all think of and why?

Not really one position in particular. We’ve had outstanding players at just about every position going back many years even before the NC’s.
 
Miami has always intrigued me about the caliber of athletes…I always picture a guy plucking a pass out of the air and taking it back for a score…


When them turnovers are coming in bunches, thats when I know that defense back ferocious again! When teams are terrified to throw that rock, I know we will have made a serious change to the roster
 
Nobody thinks about WR?

I was always fond of the smaller cats (pause) like ‘Scoe and Santana…I’m a shorter guy so I used to put myself in their shoes. I loved watching them make plays…Roscoe was a **** dog!

****, I hated to see X get hurt..I wanna see him BALL this year!

Nobody thinks TE? We had some really good ones there too
 
We used to be Quarterback U, now we're Tight End U. But right now, this position comes to mind.

I used to picture the fastest team in college football, with a sudden, lethal ability to score in all aspects of the game. 24-0 with only 1 offensive TD was normal.

When I think of Miami football, I initially think of team speed (Miami speed), and confidence..... a team full of confident and brash guys playing all over the field, that can run like ****. When I've watched us play for at least the last 15 years or so, I see Miami teams on the field with seemingly little to no confidence. For the last 10+ years, we've looked like one of the slower teams in college football. Yet the announcers still talk about us having that "Miami speed", when we couldn't outrun a mid ACC outfit. Then MTSU came to town...................... FML.

Some of my earliest memories was watching Craig Erickson throw to Lamar Thomas, Horace Copeland, Thrill Hill and Darryl Spencer....So, I guess I'd say great QB and WR play
