“Gattis sucks!”

I can’t believe we are having the same ******* conversation for 2 years in a row but with a different OC.

Please, please, can we stop this insanity??? College football offenses aren’t supposed to be this hard and we are making it rocket science hard at this program.

It has been an issue to back last year and it’s been worse this year so far. Other posters here without any experience have also been able to point that out about TVD. So I am with you there. I still think Gattis can do a little more to help him but then again maybe he has and maybe many of us just don’t know to what extent.

To be fair...no one PUBLICLY said why he was fugazi. He stunk, obviously...but it was always nonsense discourse.

It was because the entire program was ******* stealing signs.

and they basically neutered him and took away a lot of his play calling duties after he stunk his first 2 years

Don't worry maybe next year we can hire another OC, totally neuter him so we can play the head coach's preferred style and maybe win 8 games if we luck out.

I’ve said on another thread: The problem is the head coach. From his game day coaching to meddling in the offense to not holding certain players accountable (TVD in this case), the list goes on.

He used his one get out of jail card last year and the product, with better talent than last year, in different ways, has ended up looking the same to this point.

He’s a stubborn **** that if he doesn’t change certain things about how he runs this program, become modern & adapt in certain areas, his dream job will end up becoming his and ours biggest nightmare.

we are improved in some areas (defensively, guidry has been great so far and likely gone soon and OL has been elite). in others, we are the same as last year. the first 4 games were clearly either a mirage bc we are extremely exposed once conf p5 play began (we had 1 p5 team before GT).

We went out and improved everything that he prioritizes on offense and our offense is still bad. He wanted a physical, ball control running game and that's what we have. We're stuck with a broken quarterback, a 3 star true freshman and a second year quarterback who was a three year minimum project because our coach prioritizes offensive linemen over everything. Look at our incoming recruiting class. We have one borderline take quarterback and 5 incoming freshman linemen plus an incoming JC lineman. Are we jsut going to line up with a running back and 10 linemen every play?

Hey, I wish we were back in 1999 where all seemed right in the world, college was a blast, no social media, no smart phones, people actually talked to each other, a man was a man, a woman was a woman, the Canes were truly on the path back to greatness and spring breaks were actually fun.

But, that’s just a wish and not reality.

Mario wishes this was still 1990 and he’s trying to make it a reality and he has a vision for this trying to become Georgia except he has no ducking shot in **** of making it Georgia as much as that pains me to say.

It's his fault that TVD is underthrowing his best previous route concept for picks everytime.

Are you really going to fall in this trap again?

This is a multifaceted issue.

The player, regardless of who it is is not always going to execute the game plan perfectly. You have to look at everything else that is being put in place to help the player be as successful as possible.
