At Houston it was alot of IZ too, im sure more gap scheme stuff because he has sprinkled it in here. Idk what mirabal has against that

its bc they dont want to get behind the sticks. anything on the edges is a risk of losing yards. keeping it up the centers *** either gets you no gain or minimal but not behind the sticks. its the dumbest way to play when its your only run play

You have 7 offensive guys and like 6+ defenders all crammed into a 6 yard box and run up the middle, uh do people expect our oline to just blow the opposing dline and lbs 6 yards off the ball every single snap? our run scheme quite literally is 'lets create a 10 person dogpile that moves slowly, not give our rb any forward momentum by the time he reaches the LOS, and leaves zero possibility of our RB not contacting someone (either our own olineman or a defender) within a yard or two from the LOS'... Like I don't think I'm even being sarcastic at all.

Hey Duo for short yardage is great but on 1st and 10 run some power or stretch give me something pull some lineman around. Have some imagination. FSU game felt like Dawson had good stuff but tonight he called the game scared

As a double digit favorite, Mario has lost 5 times in Miami. With that tendency, I think we’re looking at deeper issues than any one thing. Why are underdogs consistently given a bit more than a puncher’s chance against us? How exactly does that happen across so many different opponent styles and even our own rosters? If he doesn’t spend 4 months trying to replace another coordinator this year, I’d recommend devoting all his problem solving to that mystery.

We’re gonna be double digit favorites the rest of the way probably.

If everything has to be an absolute brawl for each yard due to inept scheme then we have to sometimes force throws. Beck was 0/10. Dawson also 0/10.
Unfortunately this is who he is and Mario gets his **** hard for this kind of offense so it’s here to stay

During a recent interview, I listened to Dawson say this a couple of times. I argued it’s a really dangerous place from which to base a strategy or ‘fall back on.’

Something about erring on the side of caution and conservatism in football just seems unnatural. It often ends in failure - like prevent defenses.

Sure, Beck had a miserable game tonight. He played tentative on many plays, had errant throws, and struggled with pressure. But, this is who he has shown to be and therefore you have to get ahead of it. The entire design of the offense has to be to err on the side of aggression. Especially when you don’t have a QB who’s going to magically bring you back (maybe the opposite when placed into those situations).

I’m skeptical we’ll make those changes. Hope something unexpected happens. Reality is painful. Latching on to fake hype is worse.

What about "letting your QB go bombs away and throw 4 INTs" is conservative?

Even when they tried to pin and pull, those plays never had a chance. Poorly blocked all around. Probably our OL’s worse game
