‘26 QB Dereon Coleman commits to Miami

I am all in on Neimann Lawrence. My son has grown up playing baseball against him and he’s a specimen in terms of ideal QB size (pause).

I am not sold on Coleman. Feels like a Tommy Castellanos clone at best.

I don’t think he plays here.

I hope I am wrong.
Coleman has some definite arm talent but theres definitely warning signs: his mechanics, slight frame, etc. A high ceiling project vs Lawrence who looks like a kid who can be a freshman starter as long as the work ethic/mental side is there.

He has more arm talent then Castellanos, Can be a Marcel reed type player if he develops here

We will have to see how Coleman translates to college, but his decision making must be 100x better than turnover Tommy if zero INT’s in high school mean anything.

Yeah, I don't get Castellanos vibes at all, @PIPO . I think he has an elite arm, understands the field and processes much better. Everything I've read suggests he's not immature, either. Has that Toney vibe where teammates want to play for him. There's still a long way to go before he's a starter at Miami. But he has the right elements to be a good one, IMO.
