Definitely. I posted before NC teams have Day 1 & 2 talents at 6-7 of the 8 position groups. We need to get better everywhere. But if you don't have that type of talent everywhere, Baxter is that special Dalvin Cook "go win this game for us by yourself" type talent.

Exactly - I don't think Jordon Simmons (Mich St #2 RB last year) would've ran for 200 yds & 5 TD's vs Michigan

4 of the last 5 National Champs had 1st Round RB's RB can still change the game in a big way in college - and Baxter is a big time game changer. Tomorrow is going to hurt me.

Stay on Baxter no matter what. Keep your foot on the gas. Baxter is special

I'm with you El - can't see this sticking. But any info on the scoop here? Like...if it's not legit....why even do this in the first place? Of all the schools to troll, Louisville seems like a really weird choice.

Cam was a good RB - but he hit a couple big runs early in his career which set people's expectations too high. People don't remember just how good Duke was. If they did, the Duke comparisons wouldn't get thrown around as much as they do. It's kind of like - if you keep comparing a RB to Duke...

Cam is the next Duke comparison definitely happened. First after his FR year in 2018 & into the 2019 Spring, then again at the start of his JR year in 2020. I agree with you, and I warned as a prospect Cam's low ypc in High School was a red flag - but as always "he had a bad OL" was the...

100%. Dalvin & Sony were both in 2014 and I think they're a great parallel to the 2023 class. IMO Talent Wise - Richard Young = Sony Michel (NFL Starter level talent) and Cedric Baxter = Dalvin Cook (NFL Pro-Bowl level talent). Michel/Young are great, but Cook/Baxter are special. I agree...

I don't buy in to the "best since" or "he's the next" stuff very often. Example - Joe Yearby, Mark Walton, Cam Harris, Jaylan Knighton all took their turn on "the next Duke Johnson" hype train, and I just had to shake my head. But Baxter's recruiting class will be 9 years since Dalvin Cook's -...

Baxter is head and shoulders above all of them. He'd be the best RB from Day 1. Baxter is the Dalvin Cook program changer can single-handedly win games for you RB. This kid is special.

Carlos Hyde, Buck Allen, Tre Mason, Karlos Williams. Probably plenty more. 09-14 was insane.

Yeah - it's definitely a sliding scale. FL still produces the best RB's (and players in general), but recent FL RB's haven't been up to "Florida" standards 2009-2014 - Derrick Henry, Dalvin Cook, Devonta Freeman, Lamar Miller, Sony Michel, Gio Bernard, Duke Johnson, James White, Alex Collins...

Good call - Carter is probably the best. I forgot about him.

Comparing Baxter to Dalvin Cook is pretty bold. But I do think he's in the same league. Saying he's the best FL RB since Cook isn't very bold. Devin Singletary & Zack Moss are probably the best FL RB's the last 8 years. FL's been on a RB dry spell.

This is how I feel too. I initially liked Young, but the more I've seen of Baxter the more I like him. Young looks great, but Baxter looks "special". I don't know if Baxter is as good as Dalvin Cook, but he's the best FL RB I've seen since Dalvin.
