Sometimes it’s not that complicated. Alinen always liked Alabama. Miami and Iowa land (likely) the top 3 OL on the board (Okunlola, Maiugoa, Proctor). Alinen can be OL3 at Miami or go to Bama as their #1 OL recruit. They needed him badly. They got him. It’s ok. Look at who we got.

Freeling? I can’t see him at OG. He’s OT and he’s 4 and we are getting the top 3. It’s crazy but it’s our new reality.

They both can play inside. Doesn’t seem they are inclined to take 7 though and that would mean they don’t have Freeling labeled as elite. Good but not elite and they seem to really like Tinilau.

Different positions. Freeling looks like a guy who is strictly a tackle. They appear set to get 3 guys at tackle they have ahead of him. Tinilau can definitely play inside. It makes sense. What is the need to take a 4th tackle?
