Exactly, and that’s what I was gonna get at. Places like Bama & Clemson essentially only need to sell the program, facilities, and university, and top recruits are drawn in mostly for the great football environment. There’s no South Beach or Grove near Clemson, yet who currently gets the...

Does UM need to use South Beach, the Grove, and all the other South FL glitz & glamour to attract recruits?

So he attended Dabo’s summer cookout.... and was so bored by it that a few days later he put Clemson in his top 4 and then made the cross-country trip for a second time in Nov? Kinda doesn’t add up.

Ouch, this one stings. Allegedly Clemson staff expected him to be a Tiger until this week. Guess this is a partial win for the Canes, lol.

Understandable, but some of these city kids actually look forward to that type of change in scenery & culture. I went from South Fla to Clemson and I’m definitely more of a city person. If you think it’s boring there then I don’t know what to tell you. I had a blast, and it’s not like Dabo...

Where is that? I ask bc inside word [from a reliable source] has been for a while now that Flowe is wrapped up, to the point that it’s been treated as an afterthought. That confident word from my Clem source has just soured big time this past 20 minutes, so there’s probably smoke to this Oregon...

I’ve also heard a “no need to worry” on my end, so this’ll be interesting.

Definitely. I got to enjoy the Canes dynasty first hand growing up. Success is overrated anyways. It’s great in the beginning but it gets boring after a while when 80% of the games are over by halftime and the exciting nail-biters are few and far between.

No extra incentives. Dabo wants recruits to take visits and take their time. If a kid isn’t fully Clemson material, he wants the process to weed them out. Nah I don’t think any program is fully clean, but I will say— the kids who commit there now and go through the program, they take a LOT...

We don’t. That’s why the program is so successful under Dabo. Kids fall in love with the place. If you ever visit, you’ll understand why. This version of Clemson very much attracts the hard-working, team-oriented kids who want to be “All-In” and be a part of Clemson’s unique family...

What are you, like 105? My grandfather knows how to Gif, and he’s in his 80’s.

Clemson doesn’t need a bag man anymore, fortunately.

Hahahaha, thanks man. I was a diehard Canes fan growing up in the 80’s.... but went to Clemson and now I can’t really remember what it feels like to be a Canes fan anymore.

I don’t even know how I ended up here, but after reading a few posts in this thread I decided to register and respond. Firstly, Simpson is irrelevant to Flowe. They play different positions/roles. Secondly, I think Wiltfong is overreacting to the Simpson commitment. My guess is that...

Flowe is actually a great fit for Clemson. You’ve seen what Brent Venables has creatively done with Isaiah Simmons; he’ll come up with all sorts of fun ways to feature Flowe in the middle of his attacking-styled defense.

-because Simpson is more of a pass rusher than a conventional linebacker, so don’t let his “LB” designation throw you off track. Burch might eat himself into a DT spot, and Clemson has enough of those in this class, so Simpson probably makes even more sense off the edge than Burch does.
