3-Star Offensive Lineman Plazz Commits to Miami Hurricanes' 2024 Recruiting Class

Nah. Alonzo is not solely responsible for 3-stars, and then not responsible for the rest of the recruits. Alonzo participated in the 2023 evaluation efforts. #7 high school class (and would have been higher with Rashad and McClain and Jackson). #7 Portal class, and looking like most of those...

3-Star Offensive Lineman Plazz Commits to Miami Hurricanes' 2024 Recruiting Class

That's fine, I'm not trying to be negative, I just thought everyone knew that. In his current role, he's got to combine the 13 years of scouting with the later years of front office organizational skills. Alonzo definitely helped to build those great Green Bay teams. Even if people want to...

You have GOT to be kidding with this question on Alonzo. You realize he was only in Cleveland for 2 years, right?

Bolles? Very nice OLD campus. Not sure if they have spruced it up since the late-90s.

Raines has slipped a bit, a lot more of the Jacksonville population is out around the perimeter. Lots of non-downtown schools are rising. Bolles is a private school. They've always been pretty good in both football and baseball. I used to teach SAT prep courses there.

Yeah, this is about 10 years ago now, but when I was at NASCAR, the folks from E&Y invited us to come up for the Sawgrass. We drove up from the south and took 210 to Nocatee Parkway and I was just amazed at how much was being built out there. I think the Winn Dixie family ownership group...

3-Star Offensive Lineman Plazz Commits to Miami Hurricanes' 2024 Recruiting Class

Look, I know how quick the neighborhoods shift from St. Johns to Duval around there, but I went to HS in Florida in the 1980s, I didn't think it was that easy/permissible to send your kids to a different county. I guess a lot has changed...

Wow, I did not know that. Was a new school built to take some of the enrollment off of Mandarin? I know there is MASSSSIVE growth in south Jax right now, I have some family up there.

3-Star Offensive Lineman Plazz Commits to Miami Hurricanes' 2024 Recruiting Class

Was just chatting with @Rellyrell on the Florida HS Football classifications. Florida used to have those "single A up to 7A" divisions, and now it's like this: ---Four size divisions for "Metro". ---Four size divisions for "Suburban". ---One size division for "Rural". "Metro" counties are...

I'm going to bookmark this page, because it has serious Gaytor Tears potential... If Deryc develops into a solid talent, let's never forget that the TWO Gaytor OL coaches failed to identify a kid who lives an hour from Gainesville... ...meanwhile, they are taking 0-star OLs from Germany who...

I think the last guy who came out of Jackson was Leon Washington (F$U). That was about 20 years ago.

Andrew Jackson High was the first high school in Duval County, opening in 1927. It is just north of downtown Jax, but with the growth of the city and all of the rivers creating natural boundaries, the enrollment is less than 1,000. Just not an area where a lot of families live, plus they have...
