Again, we take strike 2 down the middle of the plate then swing at a pitch out of the zone for strike 3.

Man, Federman looks great!!!! The bottom fell out on his slider for strike 3 to end the inning. Let's see if the offense can gain some momentum.

What a beautiful pitch by Federman for strike 3. He's pitching well!!!

I'll point it out again. Rivera takes strike 2 on an off speed pitch in the strike zone. This is the problem. They are conditioned not to swing at off speed pitches early in counts. I just think it's a bad philosophy. I was tought zone hitting. It didn't matter what the pitch is as long...

These umpires. What a joke. Having rabbit ears after the Toral homerun trying to be baseball cops. Let the players play and do your phuking job!!!

Those guys should be carrying the team. A complete disappointment.

Just to pile on further, the position players need to get into the weight room with the football players. It's really telling that after 2-3 years in the program, the upperclassmen look the same or physically worse than when they were freshman.

It's not going to change in 1 game. It's a complete philosophical failure in their hitting approach and teaching.

The problem is the hitting philosophy. They teach them to take a lot of pitches and hit fastballs which they don't do well either. Off speed, forget about it. They don't swing at off speed pitches with less than 2 strikes even if it in the strike zone unless they're just fooled thinking it's...

I'm frustrated, but I shouldn't be. This is what we've seen all year. A complete lack of offensive production. The at-bats are non threatening. Weak contact, lazy fly balls, and strikeouts.

All the sudden Garland is hanging balls over the middle of the plate and getting crushed. Several bad pitches this inning after such a good start.

Garland pitching his best game and the offense does nothing even with the gifts of 5 walks and a HBP.

Gil tskes strike 2 right over the middle of the plate on an off speed pitch. This is the problem with the hitting philosophy. Taking that pitch for a strike killed the at-bat. You can't just hit fastballs. You have to hit in the strike zone. Our guys are behind in the count more often than...

Home plate umpire is terrible. The Jenkins called strike 3 was literally on the chalk of the batters box 5-6 inches outside. Have to swing the bats. Very wide strike zone.
