The way you feel is exactly how I would feel if Arroyo was the choice so I get it. I just think there is enough about Candle’s style of offense and track record to at least give him the benefit of the doubt.

Candle (if he is indeed the guy) would be a solid choice, IMO. I’d prefer Mullen, Littrell, or Frost but after worrying about Mario hiring some of the names being thrown around on social media (Arroyo, Nussmeier, Coley, Peetz, etc) I’d be quite relieved with Candle.

He should follow the Dabo model. Recruit, hire the best available coordinators, and let them do their job.

Even I’m not worried about Coley being hired as OC. I still want him nowhere near this program though.

Exactly. I don't know why people assume that anyone with NFL coaching experience is automatically better or more qualified than a guy with proven success at the college level. Nussmier's numbers at the college level speak for themselves. He would be a horrific hire.
