    Why don't we run more?

Kyle Shanahan is the hottest name in the NFL right now and he runs the ball more than anybody. Progressive doesn’t mean you throw more. Our pass protection can’t sustain this ratio. We aren’t scoring points and sacks are killing us.

    Why don't we run more?

This I agree with. We have no fullback and Mallory hasn’t developed as a blocker. But there are plenty of other ways to run effectively with a back like Dallas.

    Why don't we run more?

What happened on the other twelve carries? Those count, too. The big plays will be there if you stay committed. We saw it the first two games of the year against better teams than CMU and Virginia Tech. The sacks are killing drives which means Enos’s pass-heavy offense isn’t scoring points. We...

    Why don't we run more?

I'm with you on spreading it out to run. This was the best our running game looked like last year:

    Why don't we run more?

We're already one of the most pass-heavy teams in the nation and we're still not backing up the safeties or putting up points.

    Why don't we run more?

Yes, but our sack percentage is 127th. What's striking to me is how out of whack we are. We are one of the most pass-heavy teams in the nation. I don't understand why it is so disproportionate. I don't want to bring in Irvin and Parrott and just try to beat teams up. But let's spread out and...

    Why don't we run more?

They gave up four sacks against CMU. We aren’t going to turn into ‘95 Nebraska. The question is, how do we protect our OL? That’s running the ball more, preferably out of spread looks given the weakness at FB and blocking TE, and calling more quick hitters outside.

    Why don't we run more?

They moved people just fine against UF and North Carolina. They also had effective runs against UVA. We do need more quick hit passes but nothing is easier than a handoff.

    Why don't we run more?

The two Super Bowl teams last year ran the ball a ton (both top 10 in rush percentage).

    Why don't we run more?

    How is our pass blocking?

    Why don't we run more?

Do we use a different OL on pass plays?

    Why don't we run more?

Who are we going to throw behind? We need to pick our poison. Most young OL would rather run block than pass block. We have tremendous talent at RB that can get the ball with a simple handoff. And I'm not saying to run more than we throw. I'm asking why we are one of the most pass-heavy...

    Why don't we run more?

We don’t need to reverse our run-pass ratio. We need to get it more in balance and in line with the rest of the country. We have one of the better backs in the country, and a young OL who would rather run block than pass block. I can’t see a reason the ratio is so out of whack.

    Why don't we run more?

Miami is only rushing the ball 43.5% of the time. That's 115th in the country. Conversely, we are 16th in the nation in passing play percentage (56.5%). Why are we passing so much? We know our offensive line has pass protection issues. Any offensive line would rather run block. Why not put them...
