There is no time limit on dropping a kid. We even dropped Munoz after he signed. To me, the play was recruiting Chaney, Knighton and Parrish and taking the first two that committed.

We do it all the time. We did it with Brieon Fuller and Diamante Howard last year, for example.

This only makes the staff look worse. If there is a double-standard, then don't slow play the kid. That's like blaming the sun for being hot when you don't wear sun screen. The bottom line is that Parrish is better than our staff thinks he is. He proves it every time he plays.

Pitt has better RBs in the NFL right now than nearly every school in the country, including Miami. We always blame the kid and not the staff. If South Florida divas are the problem, why did we put so much faith in Knighton? If a great local player leaves the state at a need position, that...

    It’s a staff decision.

    Henry Parrish, 2020 RB

If recruiting South Florida divas is the problem, why did we put all our eggs in the Knighton basket? There were three elite backs locally this year and we need to get two of them.

Durability and performance? The guy gets 25-30 carries a game against great competition and put up 2,000 yards. And he’s not small. My guess is he ends up at 5’11, 200. He’s also tough.

Teams miss all the time. Look at the Hall of Fame-caliber players Pitt has recruited in the past twenty years. As for your second question, Miami gets less of a pass because they’re local. If the local team with the most information doesn’t recruit you, that means they don’t like you.

I was at the game. My opinion hasn’t changed. Parrish is a special back and we have done a terrible job evaluating him. He’s closer to Duke Johnson than Joe Yearby.

Other schools don't matter. This is about Miami's recruiting strategy. It's a lot easier for us to get studs locally than studs nationally. The results speak to that. If 1K is a low bar, why haven't any of the fourteen (14) backs we've signed from outside South Florida hit that benchmark? We...

Here are the South Florida tailbacks who have signed/enrolled at UM since 2000. I didn't include backs who are still here, like Cam'ron Harris. Fifty percent (50%) had a 1K yard season, and Homer had two 960+ yard seasons: Willis McGahee Frank Gore Tyrone Moss Charlie Jones Damien Berry Lamar...

How many RBs run for 2,000 yards in South Florida at 10+ yards a clip?

Knighton gone, Asa Martin in the transfer portal. Push hard for Parrish and hope it's not too late. He has the potential to be the next Kevin Smith.

Dallas has a chance to become a prospect. He’s 220 lbs, returns punts, catches the ball and ran a 4.45 the last we timed forties. Even if you add .1 (which is not a given), that’s a solid time for a big back.
