UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

I don't care what the bet terms were/are/proposed, someone is getting the hammer of we don't get Hurts.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

He won't portal and might appreciate learning how to be a big-time college QB.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

Rattler is not enrolling early so doubtful a true freshman not enrolling early will beat out a guy like Jalen Hurts. Sure a lot more likely than happening at Miami but if Jalen can't beat out Rattler then he isn't getting drafted. I understand it happened with Tua but Jalen and Tua were only a...

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

Hurts leaving Miami means we were not the predetermined pick. I hope he comes here but Hurts being from Texas and Riley's experience developing QB's, I just don't see it happening.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

Another question is did he even take classes during the summer? Most universities recommend internships during the summer and at a school like OSU you don't turn that down because that is how you get your "extra money".

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

No, it is not. A graduate transfer is guaranteed. An appeal almost always fails.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

Yet the articles say he plans to appeal. If Martell is graduating early then there is nothing to appeal.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

He graduated high school early so doubtful he had enough credits to skip an entire year.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

There really isn't when it comes to transferring from one D1 school to another. He either needs to prove a hardship or graduate early.

Which would be almost impossible after 2.5 years of school.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

I don't know if any previous examples similar to Martel where the athlete was made eligible.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

OU will have better odds at making the playoffs. If it was about a guaranteed starting spot he would transfer to Rutgers. Hurts obviously wants both a starting role and a team that can compete.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

As others have pointed out, you don't have to attend the first day of class. That being said I don't think Hurts or Martell would want to start off 2 weeks behind.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

Perhaps, but probably a zero percent chance a kid from Cali gets a waiver to move to Miami. Martell has made it obvious that this transfer is about Fields going to OSU.

UPDATE: STILL MY OPINION: Hurts decision expected tomorrow/martell by Tuesday

I highly doubt Martell graduated in two years. The OSU website lists him as a redshirt freshman, so he would sit his sophomore year and be eligible to play his junior and senior years. he could become a grad transfer after his junior season if he is unhappy with Miami.
