Got away from us, but what an experience. Showed a lot of fight, team came a long way from last two seasons, and the future is absolutely bright as can be. I’m headed to bed, but I wanted to post how proud of this team that I am, even though it wasn’t the outcome we all wanted.

At this point you just try to ride him for a CG. With this strike zone, the fact he isn’t pitching again in this Regional at this point, and the need to win two more, you just ride him hard and tell him so.

One of my gripes with the Canes is their approach. Runner on 2B and no outs you have to adjust your approach to go other way. Maybe they’re playing for big innings, but you need to have a plan other than swing real hard there.

The worst kind of umpire today. Everything is a strike. Favors the less talented team and really impacts the way guys who play with a real strike zone all season. Going to have to adjust approach because this guy wants screen time.

Keep in mind just about every one of those kids was recruited by the Miami assistant. Might not have been a great HC, but a heck of a recruiter.

It's a glass half-full way to look at things, but this is honestly better than winning last night and then losing tonight but playing a pitcher a full game. Get rest today, then play CMU tomorrow afternoon (and win), and then you figure it out tomorrow night. Maybe Slade starts and goes 3-4...

I kind of criticized Coach DeMare yesterday, but taking out McKendry here and saving him for a chance to throw 3-4 innings on Monday is the type of decision that a coach trying to win the Regional makes.
