All things being equal, why would any of these guys chose to switch from schools who have fan support to play for a school where fans dont go to the games?

Yearby be man of year! Welcome to THE U young man. There is only one rock and we want a Cane to tot it.

For all the love we give to Kaaya and his recruiting for UM, we need to share some of that with Yearby. Kid is an amazing talent and all Cane!

if cook says 40% chance to flip, and yearby says 80% chance to flip to UM, then by my calculations there is a 32% chance cook is a cane

Hope Yearby knows we appreciate him and want him in this class. Want Cook also but dont want gaytors or fsuck to use the fans to negative recruit Yearby saying that we just want Cook.

There were some things that the staff cleared up with Cook and his people's.

Gotta keep coach Coley hopefully he stays for a.long time. Hes a monster on the trail.

i hate that "win and im in" mentality you might as well say bandwagon.

I cannot say I share that opinion. That's just life. Not many people want to go to work for an under-funded company that cannot turn a profit just because it pays a few dollars more than a traditional powerhouse company that currently has lots of good products on the market.

From what ive seen over the years, most kids who say this simply want to play for teams that are in the mix for the national titles, BCS bowls, Etc... UM simply needs to get back to that level and these recruits will be more open to coming here.

Love Yearby's attitude, he is the Duke of this class. We need to stop taking him for granted, because the kid is a star in his own right, and some people seem to ignore that fact.

These aren't fans they are kids making a big decision. Depending on where they go could matter in what their future is in the NFL. Yes Miami has a ton of great players to go onto great success in the NFL but like everyone has said what have you done lately? That's where these kids minds are. Ed, Ray and the others haven't been here in how long? Ya they are doing their thing in the NFL.

Because fans don't make Miami the NFL factory that we are. You want to go to the league and actually STAY there it's a no brainer. Lol at you

First, shocked that TP800 would agree with this above.

Second, I don't think that the above comparison/analogy is the correct one. I would say UM is more of an inefficient company that has not been making the most of it's resources (i.e. Top 50 School, NFL Factory, Tradition, Private School, Coral Gables) over some time. In addition to being inefficient we were terribly run. Bad management and inefficiency has impeded our success.

Third, if the above is true (recruits play for teams in the mix for national titles, BCS bowls) then there are only like 3 schools who actually could attract kids under this method. Alabama does this and their dynasty reflects that. LSU does it as well (they have been in 3 BCS bowls since 2005), UF does it (4 BCS bowls since 2005) but who else is in the mix for winning titles and BCS bowls. There are few teams that really actually do this year in and year out. I do agree that certain kids like to be part of winning programs but then why do they commit to programs like Ole Miss, Kentucky, Louisville and Tenn.

My point is that kids say a lot of bull **** and don't follow through. My guess though if UM got back in the mix, we would have a lot more success or at the very least make things easier but let's not forget we recruit South Florida (aka the Wild West).

Forget the other 2....we should spend the same amount I energy being happy bout Yearby as we do the other 2. They flip? Great. If not? I'm fired up bout this kid who is a Cane. too many act like he's a 4 in a room of 9s.....
