The Miami Hurricanes have officially signed wide receiver Vance Spafford, arguably the fastest wideout in the whole class.

A 5-foot-11, 175-pounder from California, Spafford is a legit 4.3 runner with exceptional route technique and breaks.

Again Spafford is another case of rankings being misleading as he was a consensus top-10 wideout in the country before an injury sidelined him for the majority of the fall.

And in his two previous seasons he racked up 36 touchdowns and over 2,600 yards.

Despite his size screaming slot receiver, Spafford will likely continue to be an outside force at the next level with his raw speed and underrated hands, making for a nice “thunder and lightning” pairing with Miami’s other larger receivers in the class.

Will he start out as a slot behind Mali? Some of those hitches were very well run. Clean feet and doesn't give away much to the DB.

whatever OC NEEDS to do some creative scheming with Toney and him on the field together....

No scheming necessary. They don't play the same position.
meant more about not pulling the whole "he's a FR, he needs to learn how to block and learn the entire playbook" kind of excuses.. at the very least, just scheme a handful of plays we can use this dudes speed and playmaking ability with...

I think this staff has shown that when a Frosh is ready they will play them

The way he moves reminds me of Roscoe P and Travis B. Is that a fair comp?
