I like his confidence and attitude. Not sure if he really wants to play here or if this is just an ego trip but we should've definitely offered.

Some are not big on his speed. I get it. ESPN has him running 4.72 but I'm certain he'll be low 4.6's before its done, which is OK speed for a college receiver with other redeeming qualities.

You mean future Hall of Fame receiver Reggie Wayne? Just want to make sure it makes sense to you when you read someone else saying it.

The comparison is really just about how I see them in college. Both have suction cups for fingers and if it's nearby, it will be caught. Neither is a burner, both are fast enough, but they're more clinical out there in getting free. It'll be hard to replicate the numbers Wayne put up, but in this offense it would be hard for anyone.

The NFL stuff is great for Wayne, but I only compare high school and college. Wayne is a badass, but he also landed in a good spot. He made the most of it, most don't, and had a great career.

Genuinely curious as to where this talk of character concerns comes from. I have no idea one way or the other, but from the one interview i saw, he was really well-spoken and seemed to be a smart kid with a good head on his shoulders.

He's not Jeff Thomas, but his game is making the catch when you need it.

Over and over in his highlights you see him contorting his body to make the catch. Down low, up high, and over defenders.

He brings something we don't have right now, which is someone that you can count on when the ball is in the air, to go get it.

WHAT??? Richards, Cager, Thomas, Hightower... Ezzard?

D$, he's a South Florida kid. Shouldn't we have already uncovered everything?

Getting a feel for somebody is an ongoing process, even if you know certain specific facts about him.

Based on Dunmore’s comments, it sounds like Dugans did a thorough job of getting to know Dunmore and his family.

Again, I have no inside info on Miami’s thought process here. This is me speculating.

I'd guess the thought process is we have about 6-7 position groups are a bigger need than WR this year and they went 1-2 with their two main targets.

I forgot about Hightower lol. Sorry I was looking over him because I was thinking about last season.
The first three you named had drop problems last year.

Not saying they can't be that guy, but as of last year they weren't.

All stars though

Perhaps they wanted to know why he's transferred every year of high school. Not just surface level stuff, but deep down why that happened. Why he didn't connect anywhere and stay somewhere.

That's the only question I had about him.

That's a big question? Easy for him to pack up and jump ship.... I say pass like I have said you can take a few bad apples, but character follows you elsewhere. Maybe there is more to it than I am seeing though.

Perhaps he had no choice in it and they ran from rent collectors, possibly homeless, or who knows what. I don't know, they could be financially stable and he just kept it moving, chasing the right team, a championship, or who knows what.

I have no basis for sayinf his character is this or that. Seems we think its good enough for an offer and I'll go with that.

hes went to private schools his whole high school career. Im not sure what character issues he has other than him being a showboat with guys.

The gibbons coach went to ah delray and i guess he followed him up there...looks like he is back down now..looks like he has went to cardinal gibbons, AH-Delray, Chaminade. When your on those 7 on 7 teams..thats where the recruiting happens...hes been on those teams since he was like a soph. Chaminade is back recruiting like ****. Either way..he's a Fort Lauderdale kid.

Good to know man, appreciate it.

I also want to make it clear, so nobody is confused, but I know nothing about the character of the young buck. I was just offering up potential reasons for why he could've bounced around. He could be the world's greatest fellow, but four schools in four years does raise a question or three.

Any WR not named Mark Richards is a waste of a precious schollie in this class. Payton and Richards should be it. And yes, even Ladson is a plan B i wouldnt bother with unless we were worried about Payton or Richards.

Pretty strong opinions for a poster who doesn't know any of the four recruits listed and isn't part of the recruiting staff. Gotta love it when our coaches say we want you in this class this early in the game, but to you he's a plan B recruit.

I have always gotten the impression that this kid really wants to be a cane and was desperate for an offer, like Bethel was last year. Coaches knew this and were slow playing him because they had Ladson higher on their board. Question is now, will he ignore being slow played like Bethel did or will he let his ego get in the way and sign elsewhere because of it? Either way, Canes will be fine.

@DMoney... Since the offer was made, where does Miami stand in his recruitment?? What is the interest level, is Miami a player in this one?? After the offer was announced, I never really heard much about him!!
