A confirmation on his intentions to sign with the Hurricanes.

Steed told InsideTheU that he is shutting things down following his talk with Diaz and Brown and no longer going to consider Louisville or Mississippi State.

"Everything went real well," Steed said. "I'm not planning to go anywhere else. I mean Miami is the hometown team. There's no reason to go anywhere else. I want to put TheU back on the map."

Steed played a majority of this past season at Miami Central with a torn ACL. He's set to have surgery on that knee Friday.

"We talked a little bit about that," Steed said in reference to the rehab process. "They were just saying that they are going to take real good care of me and that they can't wait until I'm full speed. I'm just ready to get going."

Steed will take his official visit to Miami next weekend before enrolling early in January. He'll travel to campus with his teammate and good friend, Top100 offensive tackle Navaughn Donaldson, who the Hurricanes are desperately trying to keep in the class while Florida State makes a late push.

"They coming for him but I think we got him."

Miami LB Commit Steed Shuts Things Down

I'm not trying to be disrespectful at all here but how in the **** does he play with a helmet on that's lot of hair lol.

His pops said he would be out all of next year barring a miracle. So he will be ready to roll by Spring 2018 and fully healthy.

****. He's worth the wait tho.

He will be ready for full contact next summer before the season starts.

What is your feeling on Navaughn? Is he solid to miami?

I have honestly been trying to get some kind of reading about this from my son but Navaughn doesn't talk much about anything let alone his recruitment.

I thought i read somewhere that your boy had surgery today, did he have a good one? Everything go well?

Wasn't Shaq talking this kid up?

This dude gets healthy and he's gonna wreck **** here. We know he's a badass athlete with those SPARQ numbers, and he's a tough sumbytch too playing this season with a torn up knee.

Diaz will have an embarrassment of young riches with which to work at LB.

At LB they are in all places except CB right now, and God forbid we get some of those CBs we are after.
