I honestly can’t tell if Ciskar found a sequence that really keeps batters off balance or it was dumb luck but his effectively wild sinker in the batters face and then his slider over the inside of the plate is a legit sequence. If he can keep pitching down in the zone he’s a bona fide starter. Robert’s going down and the closer struggles have forced JD to do what I have been screaming for since the second series. Start the freshman pitchers. Movement trumps rocket arms. Commanding your breaking stuff for strikes matters. This series has been very interesting bec techs philosophy is the opposite. Hall is looking for rocket arms who he can teach to spin. JDs got this team believing and it’s been a fun few weekends.
