I'm with D on this one.

Lofton ran for 100+ yards in as an early enrollee in the spring game? He routinely brings down contested catches?

It's a travesty if he doesn't play 90% of offensive plays this upcoming season. The offense could run through him and we would be better for it.

If we have any aspirations beyond a Tuesday morning bowl game, it has to be Carson Beck.

In reality, likely Mauigoa.

Xavier Lucas is a darkhorse candidate. Rueben Bain can be if he bounces back from injury Maybe Justin Scott/Armondo Blount if they take the next step.

ND and Ohio St just gave a blueprint on how to achieve when your QB may not be in the top 5 on your team.

Lofton has done nothing outside Greentree to be considered.

Gametime comes September will dictate best one

Beck has more credentials up to this point then anybody else

This argument is silly. One can say Lofton has the most potential or may be the best player this upcoming season, but can’t say he is the best player today. Young man hasn’t really done anything in an actual college game for such glorious acclaim. Heard similar crazy stuff about him last spring, ended up being oversold. Let’s hope the hype is legit in the fall.

Lofton's stats in the 2024 Spring Game:

7-34-4.9 ypc & 1 catch for 4 yds.

Facts and Common Sense aren't welcome on the Hype Train!
