We have no business winning less than 9 games if we are honest with the amount of NFL level talent we have but the intangibles have to be right, coaching and team chemistry.

We still lack quality depth in many key spots.

I agree 8-9 wins has to happen or it’s going to be very bad for Mario.

Concern is always injuries. Injuries always happen. Last year was devastating by the end of the year we were running on a terrible roster each week.

We lack quality depth still on the o-line the most important group. We have maybe 6-7 guys who can play and that’s it. After those guys it gets really ugly.

Safety, who are the backups? Guys who have never played that is a major concern.

DT, who are the backups? One again major concern if we lose LT we are ****ed at DT.

WR is very young and doesn’t have 1 top dog NFL 1st rd talent as of yet. Dawson will have to be creative.

RB, I love how hard Parrish plays but he can’t be our lead horse. Mark is a true freshmen how much impact can he have, Allen let’s see how good he is, can Chaney stay healthy?

So yes, we have some top line talent at a couple spots but there are still a ton of question marks with this roster.

Ever year everyone thinks we all of the sudden are going to just walk in and dominate our schedule and every year the team disappoints. Saying less than 9 is a bold statement based on the roster we have.

We will be underdogs in 4 games for sure. The key to this season is A&M. We beat them we can go on a roll in my opinion.

If we lose at home early to A&M all that doubt is going to creep back into the players heads and the fans that ahhhh **** here we go again we suck. A&M is a crucial game for this season and it’s trajectory.

Your points are directed at the wrong person. I just spent a whole day drawing everyone from the ledge and that this is gonna take time. I was talking strictly from a NFL talent standpoint. And i dont know if u know but teams that do well in the draft, they dont have quality depth. They have to create it every season. Bama was trying to take our QB, Ohio has a new starting QB.

Injuries is what im concerned about. Im fine with the talent at pretty much every position at this stage of our development.

We need people to stay healthy.

Me saying we should realistically win 9 games was not me inviting man to dump on the staff. Btw what propelled FSU from 5 wins to 10? Or TCU from 5 wins to 13?

If u look strictly from guys who are getting realistic NFL buzz it shouldnt be unrealstic. What we need is people to step up and be difference maker. I would prefer a different backup QB, otherwise every position im fine with the numbers and different skill sets.

Oh yeah and until proven otherwise, my record prediction will be 7-5.

For o line there might be 10 programs in the entire country with more 7 playable guys without drop off. And the rb room now has some decent depth. Agree about everything else, especially DT, very concerned if LT or Deen go down. If there was ever a season to get lucky health wise it's this one.

I think our DL skill sets fit Guidry D to a T. Also we have Moten is around 320, needs to step up and he is a FR but Horton is 300. Also the ULM transfer is around 300. I like that we have pentrators.....🐾🐾🐾 and a penetrating scheme. Our scheme wont be just to head up people but create confusion. That should mask somethings.

But we have to do it.

In UM's 19 seasons in the ACC (2004-Present), we have won 9+ regular season games exactly 4 times (2017, 2013, 2009, and 2005).
Seasons with 2 or fewer ACC losses? 3 (2020 covid year, 2017, and 2005).
Seasons with 4 or more ACC losses? 8 (2022, 2019, 2018, 2014, 2011, 2008, 2007, 2006).
Last season we were favorited in 7 games and went a 4-3 in those games. We were underdogs in 5 games and went 1-4 in those games. We lost 3 games we should have won, compared to winning 1 game we should have lost.

Most of these seasons, we had more than enough talent to hit 9 wins in the ACC. Most of these seasons (except probably 2017), everything after "but" (including injuries) has come down against us.

This year Vegas has us at 7.5 wins (squeezing the under). Catch me on an optimistic day and I'll say we're going 8-4, otherwise I'm joining you with a 7-5 prediction.
