“I felt like I performed pretty well,” Van Dyke said. “During the 7-on-7’s, I completed every pass, so I felt like I was on fire, felt like I threw better than in the 1-on-1’s, but I was just getting warmed up. Just went in there in the 7-on-7’s and lit it up, but that’s normal. I can always do better.”

Kid has some swagger in him. I like it

Thought the same thing reading that quote, ****.

Loving this dude. Though every time I really start to get hyped for a player, I mentally prepare myself for a decommit lol. If this kid or Chaney decommited I’d go into depression

Yeah he’s mobile in the traditional sense, not the dual threat sense. He also seems to throw well on the move, which makes his mobility even more valuable to me.

Our problems at QBs the last forever years has not been that they did not run well enoug(they didn’t) but that they didn’t pass good enough. Rosier was a good runner. That got us 10 exciting games and best season since Berlin, but our NCs all game with passers with brains and guts. If this kid can move in the pocket, pass on the move and once in a while surprise the d with a quick burst up the middle, we can go places.

Kid’s release is extremely impressive. He seems to just flick his wrist at times and the ball comes out with lots of velocity and accuracy. His release at times reminds me a little bit of the great Dan Marino. Van Dyke is definitely a special talent, in my opinion.

I get the feeling that for Enos throwing on the run is more important than running. There is some NFL guy in New England that has done that for years. I think his name might be Brady? No!!!!! not comparing or projecting, just saying that throwing on the run is a great skill for current football. Also notice that Garcia (2021) appears to be able to do the same.

What I love about this coaching staff so far is their ability to recognize talent that comparable to (if not better) than the talent pursued by other heavy weight, bag generous schools. This is how you build your program up when you are at a disadvantage. You get the same and maybe better talent without going head to head with those "more recruiting capable" schools. Once you start winning big, recruiting will be easier. This kid is one great example of that.
How many 4 stars recruit that are as good as or better than recruits who are given the 5 star status by recruiting services? You can say the same about 3 stars who are as good as 4 stars. You just have to put in the effort if finding those kids and be good in evaluating, projecting and recruiting. This was Butch Davis greatest asset.

It is insane that we got this kid out of nowhere. There cannot be ten HS QB’s in America better than TVD. Absolutely criminal that his ranking is the same as Preston Dewey’s.
Man don’t make me jump, Preston Dewey 🤣...
