I believe that debacle in Hicksville is now called Friday Night Blight.

I thought Thorton was a gator fan, but chose paradise over fnl?
I think people on here get amnesia & simply forget everything they've been told on a daily basis.

It's just July, even if a kid commits to another school now, it honestly doesn't mean anything, before the season starts.

Even when a kid "shuts down" his recruitment, people would be surprised how quickly recruits can "reopen" after taking a few visits or watching a team win/lose.

Recruitment of prospects is never over until they sign the LOI, you'd think people would've figured that out by now lol.

Agreed!! NSD is the most important day for these recruits, it's always fun and exciting watching them come and show love to Miami for Camps and different events BUT NSD is the big day.. With the way recruiting has been going, nothing is a for sure thing anymore.. NOW after those LOI papers are signed-sealed & delivered THEN we can celebrate and talk ****..

Wonder why he got cb to Miami by ITU writer

Fake news or good news. Recruiting is fluid so you have to wait and see what happens. It's a good thing until it isn't, but my money is on Richt until proven otherwise. Kid is a gator lean but Miami is his dream school. He's going to shut it down when he commits but he'll still take visits. Wants to stay close to home but is open to leaving the state. Not a program changer but his HS coach says he's the best he's ever seen at his position. Gritty, 4 star diamond in the rough type. Measurables are off the charts but he's never been measured. Needless to say I'm optimistic that this one bears watching down to the wire.

Follow the visits.

The writer stated he had no insight for the pick, just that he felt Miami wants him more than UF and that he felt that would ultimately pay off for Miami.

"He will shut it down when he commits but will still take visits" .....am I the only one that sees the stupidity here?

If he's shutting it down then he had no reason to go see anywhere else cause if he's shutting it down it's a waste of time...right?

I'm further convinced that the Webster dictionaries in S. Fla have had the word " commit " removed from all of them.
