Georgia got Sinclair from Marshall. There are big time S&C coaches all over college football. And after doing something actual research, I think we got ourselves one.

Just yesterday there were people whining about Hester because he's from La Tech but now he's the biggest miss in this programs history and we don't like the new guy bc he's from Temple. **** is nonsensical.

Who we don't get is always going to be better than who we do get in this fanbases eyes.

Based on the few videos I’ve seen I’ll give him this... his athletes get really good depth on their squats (under Felder, from the canes all access videos, I could see we weren’t getting deep enough in the hole).

It was also nice to hear him talk about where players should be feeling those squats too (posterior chain, not quads).

I used to tell my guys that all the time.

so hiring Bama's guy or one of his assistants?

I guess we would have never had Tommy Moffit had we insisted on your criteria
You didn’t read my prior post did you. Said I wasn’t qualified to judge and asked for someone who was to explain. The other guy wanted to know how I would judge an upgrade...without knowledge of s and c that’s how I would judge. Still waiting for someone w knowledge to educate me

Our fan base is pretty horrible overall. I always tell people Miami has great fans but they aren't the ones you will never notice as for the most part only the spoiled attention hungry brats will make enough noise to be noticed. Threads like this are a great example. There is just zero way someone can know if this is a good hire or not unless they are at coaching clinics with other college coaches or work in S&C at the college level.

this one is confirmed by university. its done deal and according to football staff scoop people he is well regarded in the s&c community and 2 former coaches worked with him said is best they ever worked with

Yes, and his boss for the past two years, got promoted and didn't think this guy was good enough to work at Georgia Tech.......

Dumbest thing I have read today. He kept the 3 best coaches on staff and that is a reason NOT to trust him LOL.
Pot calling the kettle black. This is the dumbest reply I’ve seen today. Those 3 are terrible recruiters, straight garbage. Plenty of other coaches who can coach both safeties and corners while not whiffing on recruiting annually. And Patke? MFing Patke? Dude coaches OLB.....that’s it. Can’t even coach a whole position group. And has he ever landed a blue chip for us? Ever? Terrible.

I think hes just trying to live up to his name. Has alot of So-Called Canes fans Spitting Insane Takes left and right. He Had to go big or go home

Maybe Feely can watch from outside the weight room and then it will be just like when we had a "Miami guy" as the SC.

I was referring to But

I said like Miami, not a Miami guy. I meant the way Butch left us. I believe the name was Moffitt. You must mean someone else.

You have a point about the recruiting, But I'm sure the Defensive performance our team put out was cheaper than other top 10 Defenses (Price of the Turnover Chain included). People love saying just because a Coach comes from Temple hes trash. Manny Diaz was this "><" close to being the temple coach. If we have a top 50 Offense more teams will force mistakes to keep up with us and we'll have more turnovers and temple will hire Blake Baker, E. Banda, or Patke. Then alot of people will say UM should've matched the offer

As a fellow UM fan I hope you're right. I want us to start winning again. I have no preconception that we'll be elite, our recruiting is just not good enough for that. But 10+ wins and not getting regularly embarrassed on national TV, there is no excuse for not achieving that. That said, 50% of a position coaches job is recruiting. Can't fail at half your job.

Every single guy that they've lost has gone to one of the 'elite' programmes that are obviously dropping bags to recruit them.

I get that we want our coaches to do better and lock down South Florida, but they're losing to insurmountable odds. Coach Kuligoswki couldn't recruit worth a lick here and now suddenly he's a killer on the trail? Why wasn't his resume pulling in kids to the U?

It's not a fair fight and, quite frankly, I think we should focus on the 3 and 4 star kids with a chip on their shoulder and forget about the 'elite' kids who you have to wipe the **** of for 5 years - only to see them leave for Alabama.

If we start to reel off multiple 10 win seasons then we'll have a recruiting tool to rival the bags that are being dropped.
When we are losing recruits to Syracuse and spending 90% of our energy chasing 5* prospects who continuity spurn us, the recruiting is being mismanaged. Also, losing 20 straight blue chip battles, even to better schools, is unacceptable. Even teams that are struggling, like Florida State, win their share.
