That said- bye teams have lost 3 out of 4 games the past 2 yrs in this format….I just don’t see us overlooking anyone this year. Mario has preached “1-0 every week” all offseason long. The players have echoed this sentiment, from the leaders to the true freshmen. Their goal is to get back to the title game and finish the job, but they know the only way to do that is winning every game you’re supposed to win. There’s 11 of those. Do that, then put the whole country on notice by beating Notre Dame in South Bend when everyone in national sports media has that game penciled as a win for them just because they’re playing at home. Go into the ACC championship game 12-0 and make a statement heading into the playoffs. Get that #1 seed. Less games is less potential for season ruining injuries and an extra week to get everyone as healthy as we can. And the top seed gives you the best possible chance to be in the semifinals.
1-0 every week.

Clemson is my only concern other then ND but their QB is an uknown and overall they are not the super talented Clemson teams of the past.

My biggest hope this season is we see the same aggressiveness all season long that we did to close out the season last year from SMU on. Play to win. Score early and often. Take shots. If we do these things I'm confident no one else on our schedule can hang outside ND and MAYBE Clemson if they can find a QB.
Temperatures could be in the high 50s that evening in Palo Alto. Miami may be affected by this drastic drop in temperature after months of heat training. Fortunately, Mario says the team will fly out early to acclimate.

Yea the attitude and willingness to bury teams in that last part of the season is how Mario & the team need to approach this szn from Game #1, not when our backs are against the wall..

Not really worried about VT in terms of their talent or anything like that.
But Franklin is a poor man’s Mario. He wants to be physical, pound the ball, play efficient at the expense of explosive on offense.

Beat Notre Dame and all will be well. I live in Clemson land and there are plenty Clemson fans around me. My granddaughter is a Clemson fan.
