Tre Johnson to the U

Well we got the DL and OL depth we needed this class.

Don't know anything about this guy. Future starter material or a depth add?

Stiff competition and could have done without that hat picture, but he's got nice upside and we needed the depth.

He's a guy that I actually see making a big impact down the road. He has the size, which is something you can't teach.

I like Richt's history of getting 3 star linemen and turning them into all-conference players. Happy with this pickup. We should view this differently than the Kehoe projects of the past.

I like that he's not a big fat shiftless slob. OL don't have to look like Dr. Nowzaradan patients.

Good move by Richt adding Johnson. He's not ready to play, but he's got great size and adds much needed depth. I still could have seen them add 1-2 moe OL, but with a little amount of time it's tough.

He's extremely raw but at least he's a 6'8 300 pound raw prospect, not a 6'2 fat slob like Joe brown.

Tre is athletic and has the length of arms and size that you look for in a LT. I think that under this staff he has a chance to be a very good player.

If Golden or Radio signed kids like this and Martin they would be skewered by this board for getting sloppy seconds.

At least call it the same way every time folks.

For a coach that supposedly is going to do better here b/c of an upgrade in talent from UGA, he isn't landed upgraded talent.

Maybe Richt gets a little benefit of the doubt because he's not a proven failure like the guys you mentioned. No need to dig the heels in and demand that every coach is treated exactly the same as others. Some guys have proven to better than others. If Butch Davis signs a "marginal" guy he'd get a little more leeway than Randy Shannon too.
