Tre Donaldson believes Shelton Henderson will be one of the best freshman in the country
Miami was well represented at ACC Media Days this weekend with head coach Jai Lucas, point guard Tre Donaldson, and forwards Ernest Udeh Jr. and Malik Reneau in attendance. One name that came up during the event was freshman guard Shelton Henderson.
While speaking with the Field of 68 crew, Donaldson had high praise for the first-year Cane, calling him one of the top freshmen in the nation.
“Shelton Henderson is going to be one of the best freshmen in the country,” Donaldson said. “His physical presence is ridiculous, and his ability to get downhill. I’ve been around a lot of freshmen. K.D. Johnson getting downhill is ridiculous, and Shelton Henderson can get downhill. He doesn’t get the love he deserves.”
Henderson is now listed at 240 pounds for this offseason. He added 15 pounds this offseason, as I reported last week.
Henderson has looked solid throughout the offseason and summer practices for the Hurricanes, and after adding 15 pounds of muscle, he could be in line for a starting role when the season tips off. Especially getting high praise from the seniors.
