I've loved what Manny has done so far, but our abysmal DB recruiting isn't going to change anytime soon with Banda & Rumph being retained for a fourth year. You can't devote 2 on-field coaching slots to the secondary when both are proven liabilities on the recruiting trail.

It's bad enough to predictably lose the battles for the best of the best from our backyard once again (Stevenson, Dent). It's just as alarming that we're also losing in-state fallback options like Nunn to Syracuse and Emerson to Mississippi State.

I mean maybe but Gurvan and Carter haven't proven themselves or Bolden tbh so I doubt he'd be scared now but who knows it's just strange unless it's bags
I like the 4 of them a lot better than Emerson

Well you're operating like Emerson is considering education as part of the decision making. Unless he said that or you know him, why do you think that matters to him?

I'm going to guess you've never been to Mississippi State.

Let’s face it this class is pretty much done, assume nothing next week and be pleasantly surprised if something happens.

Emerson for sure gone imo, supposed to be taking an unofficial visit to mississippi state this weekend too. That’s a wrap

the problem is, they don't play the same position.

Emerson is being recruited as a Striker.

A position of need very soon with really, only Romeo Finley and Derrick Smith currently on the roster in that role.

Waiting to see if anything comes out today about Washington. Just saw Willie Taggert went in home with him last night.

The Nunn recruitment was one of the oddest I've ever seen

Emerson was a good candidate for the striker position maybe moved to LB down the road not necessarily S or CB so i don't agree with loaded secondary bs

Oh yeah he is being recruited purely as a striker true

I like all 4 better for now but he's talented as **** too so id imagine he believes in himself but maybe im wrong
I’ve never been high on Emerson but would have been okay with the take. Not losing sleep over him though that’s for sure

That doesn't help your argument. You keep speaking for Emerson like he thinks like you do. He probably doesn't care about what you care about.

Every coach is usually considered a good recruiter or a good technician, rarely do u find one who is both. Typically every staff is filled with half of each type of coach but I'm still looking for our ace recruiter on the defensive side. Field is the ace on the offensive side without a doubt.

So we seriously might whiff on every 2019 prospect down the stretch besides Harrison-Hunte? Yikes. I don't feel good about Washington, Williams, Bogle, or Pickens. The transfers will help ease some of the pain but they aren't truly in the class of 2019. I can't wait for Wednesday to be over.
