Also, while Miami clearly had more talent than VT... What the **** has happened to Beamer and Foster coaching wise??? Most of their decisions/schemes were terrible.

Miami has always had more talent than VT but VT coaching always kept them in the game. Now these VT coaches are losing to Golden and Co. VT should fire Beamer.

Next years coach is gonna have a ton of talent.

The 2015 Miami Hurricanes have jumped the shark. 5 years of the same old

"It is appalling what Golden will do to protect his friend's defense."

This!!!!

Kaaya made golden look good before half with the smart free play. Golden has no balls. Kaaya is one of the best qbs in the country and golden is scared to let him go for it. He had like 22 passes in the first half and around 8 in the 2nd half. That shows you how much of a ***** golden is

Outside the Oline, this team is very talented. I'm scared they could upset Clemson and out talent 3 or 4 of the rest of the schedule and end up winning the ******* coastal. That's all Blake James needs to justify bringing back this loser.

With right coach this team, and last year's, would be headed in the playoffs. Sad that with Al they can only beat inferior team that also make mistakes. That's for the write up/

Just got home, but my main thought:

Talked with some VTech fans. They didn't want to play Brewer. They put him in. If he plays the majority of the game, we lose. Why?

Because in the few plays I saw of him, he stepped up in the soft pocket we create a couple times and guys were running FREE. On the TD throw, the WR who caught the TD wasn't even the most open player downfield. #7 for VTech was running entirely free down the right seam. That's an element of their [otherwise craptastic] offense that I think would have been enough to beat us.

Any team with a QB accurate enough to hit the seam will be a nightmare for the rest of the season. Part of that is scheme, another part is personnel rotations. Have no idea what's going on with our rotations.

- Juwon Young is showing his talent. He is big, fast (4.58) and very aggressive. The more reps he gets, the better he will be. He's not a cerebral guy, but his talent and attitude make up for it.

With all respect, wtf are you talking about here? He's a **** bright and instinctive player. Considering the defense @ Miami has recently been among the worst in program history, the lack of player development and the clusterfluck with personnel groupings.

Saying a particular player isn't cerebral, is quite a stretch.

I love the guy and have since high school. I think he will be very good and he looked great today. But I don't see him as an instinctual player like a Vilma or Spence.

IMO, his gifts are physical talent and toughness. He reminds me of a rich man's Spencer Adkins.

I cringe at the thought of this staff receiving Vilma or Spence as true freshmen. Honestly, I do not trust this staffs recruiting, development and personnel decisions.

They didn't get a chance to kill Spence's chances, only having him for the 11 season. Is DP the only LB drafted during this current staffs horrible tenure?

Agree 100%, and I was just about to post the same thing. It's clear as day that Miami has talent all over the field and a QB somehow playing at an all-American level behind one of the worst O-lines in the country. A competent coaching staff has this team in playoff contention.

He's old. But he built that city. He gets to retire at the end of the year.

100% on point, D$.

The game thread had posts that pointed so much of this out. We were all amazed that it was even a game. ANY competent coaching staff has the Canes up by 20+ at the half.

- Man, our players are so much better than theirs. The talent difference was glaring. There wasn't one guy at Virginia Tech I would've taken as a Miami starter. That's the only reason we won.

- There are 59 seconds left in the half. You have the best quarterback in the conference. Your kicker just banged a 49-yarder with room to spare. And you run out the clock?

It is appalling what Golden will do to protect his friend's defense. Beamer was licking his chops to go after that defense, and his offense stinks. It's sad. Golden was lucky Kaaya bailed him out on the free play.

- This team looks pretty much the same way they did in camp. That's what makes the staff's personnel decisions so frustrating.

- We used every offensive line combination except for the correct one. Darling- McDermott - Linder - Isidora - Odogwu. Gall and Brown aren't good enough right now. I don't know why it took so long to get McDermott at LG. It's been obvious since the first practice. One drive went to crap because Brown got beat at guard and then McDermott got beat at tackle.

- What is Stacy Coley doing on the bench for 3rd downs? There were multiple 3rd downs in the 4th quarter where our best playmaker sat on the sidelines.

- And why is Bush still sitting down? I didn't see him in the second half until he was smashing someone in the backfield. Stop with the rotations. Our good teams never did this crap.

- Hope Raphael Kirby is OK. He deserves to finish his senior year.

- Juwon Young is showing his talent. He is big, fast (4.58) and very aggressive. The more reps he gets, the better he will be. He's not a cerebral guy, but his talent and attitude make up for it.

- Artie Burns is making the leap. His click-and-close ability is rare for someone his size. He is just one example of pure talent winning this game.

- David Njoku is going to be a star. He's only a freshman. As he gets bigger and more comfortable, he will make some freaky plays. I like his toughness after the catch.

- Kaaya is already a star. I watch a lot of college football, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone in the country. His pocket presence keeps getting better and he throws a beautiful ball.

- Chad Thomas and Al-Quadin Muhammad are starting to get it rolling. They both have the talent to be household names.

Money

Darling is penalty prone, 25 lbs over weight, slow and not very athletic. He is a huge liability on the oline right now. I feel he should be sat down, sadly we don't have any better options because of poor development, and recruiting too many projects on the oline.

Like all programs, they're experiencing a stretch of mediocrity, VT has rarely been an offensive anything. Foster on the other hand, is a beast DC and it appears he's weak on roster talent atm.

Although, any semblance of an offense by VT today, chances are, they win.

Lol at style points. The mopes don't care about style points when we lose. Only when when we win.

You call out Juwon Young and call him stupid or "not cerebral" after he comes out and gets a TFL and an interception and got in on a bunch of good tackles. In the little playing time he got, he showed he's better than Kirby has been all season so far.
