No SBB or Ridley would be quite the cluster****. Par for the course.

This.

If Ridley doesn't qualify ANYWHERE then obviously there's nothing we could do about it. However...if that mother ****er lines up anywhere in America next year then our administration and coaches failed us yet again. You make exceptions for kids like that...that is assuming you have intentions of actually winning.

Nah Jedi. This is WAY overused. If any kid has the minimum standards required to play college and gulden really wants him..... The kid will get in. Like it's been said by money and others who know someone will have to "push" for the kid to get in.....

The kids Who haven't qualified that have commited under Dolan have either wound up at Marshall/Juco/another year in juco(devante bond)/prep/sitting at home(Derrick griffin). That "grades" line is just another excuse when a kid goes to LSU, fsu,uf, Louisville, or wherever.

Griffin-didn't get sent an NLI by a and m, so that let's you know right there
Rhymes Lockley-Prep and still had to take his *** to Marshall
Angelo Jean Louis-Lol went prep still couldn't get it done. Had to go to Marshall
Devante Bond-Didn't qualify, had to go back to Juco because of it.
Aj Legget-Marshall
Kevin a Grooms-Made it to UM, couldn't get past clearinghouse......oh yeah.....Marshall

See a common theme?

Lol why do you think LSU and a couple of other schools SENT THE HOUSE at Travonte Out of nowhere for the most part at the end? Ol boy was able to get it done as far as qualifying at champagnat, recruiters get notified/college sees it legit on transcripts, it ball time now.

Patrick is not as good as hes hyped up to be. Central Fla football is just bad and when he has played the good teams in the area he has been shut down. Dont believe the hype!

I live in Orlando, and that is not true. Now Lake Mary may have so-so football but orange county is rolling along teams that are consistently in the playoffs : Edgewater, boone, Apopka, winter park, and Dr Phillips. Then you have the emerging teams west orange, bishop moore, lake nona, timbercreek, wekiva springs ( coached by Kenard Lang) , university hs, and evans hs.

So you need to learn about the area talent before bashing central Fla considering after south fla I would say central has the most talent ( orange, seminole, Osceola, lake, volusia, and brevard counties).

On another note going back to the OP, good write up PETE. How about some news on the interior linemen for the 2015 class.

Go Canes

Carlton Davis is still an option for Miami going forward?

Seen this on itu about sbb

This per TOS, & SBB says "Alabama and Miami are my top two, and Alabama's not that far ahead". (TIFWIW). He says also that AG wants him to come back with his mom & he says he will definitely do that. Also said that CR wasn't able to make it to the spring game.

They still are recruiting davis and he said miami is in his top 5 but he wants to see bama, lsu, usce, and uf.

Any insight on the Burgess-Becker/Ridley thing?

Slave Trader is marketing them. They went from about to commit to "for sale" in a couple days. Might as well pull their offers and stop wasting time on them. Instead of banners, let's take up collection for a P.I. to follow and tape Pete's buddy around. Heck, just knowing he is being tracked might ruin his business -- not even SEC team WANT video evidence of tainted money changing hands.

I hear you...that's why I said "administration and coaches" because I don't pretend to know EXACTLY who is to blame when a stud wants to come here, doesn't qualify, and then ends up playing the next year at LSU or West Virginia, for example.

But the point is that can't continue to happen. Not every human being was put on this planet to study and get a degree (at least initially). The NCAA mandates what the requirements are for athletes...if it's good enough for the rest of the country it should be good enough here.

Rudy Carpenter will be a big help for Kaaya. He knows the game and would be playing in the NFL now if he had better physical tools.

Yeah. If a player can get into LSU, Bama, USC, Fsu, uf, insert college here that player can get into UM. If the kid us talented enough a 2.0 is all that's needed and the minimum act/sat score that goes along with that. That guy token cane has said it, and others who would know.

If a kid is going to Marshall/West Virginia l , that's not on the coaches.

I think just because a lot of you are on a war path that you are looking for a scapegoat to blame for the SBB and Ridley situation. The reality that some of you just can't seem to process in your heads is that some kids just flat out want to leave where they are currently and try a whole new experience. I know that when I left for college recently, I could have decided to go to some very good local schools but I opted to leave the area because after all that is part of the college experience. I'm a frosh in college and probably have a similar mindset to these two on the topic.

I know a lot of you are sick of hearing "I love Miami, but I am going somewhere else". The truth is that of course they love Miami but they want to experience something new, Alabama is a perennial power with arguably the best coach in the game....and we're just coming off an NCAA investigation and have yet to record a 10 win season in a decade. Do you think that serves well in the mind of these kids. They want to win and no matter what you tell them the bottom line is Miami needs to have a good season to reel back some of these kids. Not all of them will come because of what I stated above and you would be ignorant to assume that is the Coaches fault.

Listen I am not an Al Golden lover but I can tell he has given it all he's got with these two, they have both stated that Miami has been recruiting them hardest since early high school. What more can you ask of the guy? Does he ***** up with other recruits from time to time....absolutely he does but these two are not part of that. I believe they simply want a new experience and for some people on this board that translates to the Coaches fault, which the more you think about it...the more absurd it gets. Go Canes!

Or maybe...just maybe...the best recruiter is WINNING.

And maybe...just maybe...some of us are frustrated beyond all **** that we currently have a pretty bad coaching staff. A bad coaching staff leads to losing games against Duke and getting blown out by UL in a bowl game after having 30 days to prepare.

That in turn...hurts recruiting. You then get excuses like "some kids want to leave", "grades", "The 3rd ring of saturn is aligned with Venus", etc etc etc

Some of us are sick of seeing this cycle repeat itself. Some of us are even more sick of the weak *** excuses being thrown around in support of the coaching. This is our 3rd consecutive go-around at having a bad coaching staff....by this point it's not hard to spot it.

Nobody said Al's not trying. Trying hard gets you an extension at Temple, it gets you fired at Miami if you don't win. That's reality.

I agree with a lot you said, the way I see it is that some recruits leave for reasons you stated, and others leave for reasons I stated. However, we have absolutely no idea what their true motivation is or what the real story is behind all the media. I guess my point is to get frustrated is ok and trust me I do too....but the reality is that we are 10 months away from signing day (a lot can happen) and no one on this board with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 people (who know the kids personally) can really pinpoint anything specific to why we lose out on some kids (myself included) Everyone brings up good points but no one truly knows until signing day....so lets all remain calm and hopefully this all works out...Go Canes!

Good job Pete. I'm stoked about landing Williams. I'm with Jerzey, I think Cronkrite is the silent.

Oh, also is there news of any other DT interest? The Fines kid looks pretty good, but thinkin' we're not done there.
