We recruiting on a whole different type of level this year... everyone coming in will be a straight up killer..... no more specials or reaches.

No Brainer types... we back trying stack the chips again...

This is so refreshing....

JC
I wouldn't describe the guys we currently have as special or reaches but they don't fit the scheme of what the staff wants apparently

Pete do you know what linebackers they are high on ?

Wilder and V. Miller?

**** they only taking 2 LBs? I thought they would bring in 3 more this year too. Must be planning on trying to bring in quite a few d-linemen and dbs.

I was thinking the same thing like we need 3-4 the whole defense needs an overhaul and we need to stock pile

I don't understand the issue with Bandy, we took Wright this year, and he's tiny.
Wright is a LaMarcus Joyner type, very versatile..can play both S and Nickle Corner if need be....**** one game this yeat he had 20+ tackles!!!

They are no where in the same level lol horribel comparison

Never said they were on the same level if you READ it.. I said he was a LaMarcus Joyner type... can play multiple positions...and they are the same build...Joyner was a 5 star player...Wright was a high 3 star, low 4 star on some sites

I agree .. but I'm mostly talking about the E.Moores, Joe Browns and those types that came in AG classes...

Joyner was a do everything athlete, started safety, nickle and corner, was very versatile in the secondary wright can only be productive in the box, kod got bombed by a random wideout from westminster

I love the fact that the coaches are dropping players that they don't think will work for them. I like steed a lot but if the coaches don't think he's good enough then il deal with it.

Nobody is saying Steed (or Dunning) is good enough. It's falling 100% on their playing style and how Diaz wants his LB's. Richt is pretty much making sure we don't have any circles to put in our square holes, no matter how good the circle is.

Personally, I think the 2 LB's the staff are eyeing for this cycle is

Wilder and Marchiol. 247 quoted Marchiol saying the staff contacts him almost daily.

Joyner was a rookie during Braxton's freshman season.

Also, they don't have the same build. I coached Lamarcus for 7v7, and I've seen Wright, plenty. Lamarcus was skinnier and has longer arms.

Am I thinking about Ramsey?

If it's the play where he dropped the ball in the end zone, then I forgot who was covering him.

Bummer about Steed.. Like him a lot as a prospect

Brini is a must get IMO

Could Slaton be the next "big commit"? Relalistically it's prob Gibson or Dingle which would also be classified as big local commits

2 LBs in THIS cycle? Wow. That really means they are only looking for 1 then because you hold a spot for DWilder. That is very surprising. They must have the utmost confidence that the Bermuda Triangle in no way will bust. And that Owens is going to come back 100%.

I am intrigued by this Colson kid..Anybody know anything about him?

I think that's the problem. Wright is 5'9, young is 5'9 and johnson at safety is 5'10. I think they want to insert size and speed into the secondary.
He would only play nickel and why are you going to recruit another nickel back when you have two freshmen who are probably going split time there anyways

I hope Coach Kool gets the opportunity to work with Colson. We need Diaz's defense to really lay a beat down on FSU at home this year. That happens an our DL recruiting woes go away fast.

Thanks Pete.

Go Canes!
