First team Miami faces this year that can complete a forward pass. The LB in coverage scare the **** out of me.

Their abilty to have a passing offense and Renner being the exact type of QB that has light up our zone defense the last couple years has made me nervous. Its critical we get a rush on the qb and make him uncomfortable.

Our Offense should be able to move the ball on them easily but we sometimes have seen our O stall or even just give up the ball the last few games. They have a passing O that can make us pay.

First real test for our Pass D, excited to see how they play

I think they score on us, I just don't think their D will be capable of stopping us at all as long as we don't play stupidly. My only concern is that I can't watch the game, some work BS. I always feel more nervous about a game when I can't watch live.

This thread made me nervous

They aren't as terrible of a team as the record indicates. We should still beat them though.
I've been keeping my nervousness about this game to myself up to this point. With each post I see of people being all, "LOL, we're going score ALL the points", it just makes me more nervous.

Oh so the dopes who was screaming this about GT didn't learn their lesson? Shocking.

I get nervous about every game we play. Sans the scrub teams. I will be nervous about every conference game we play. We will get every teams best game that we play. We need to start to bury teams like this once again. No taking teams lightly and no letting up when we have a comfortable lead. Keep the foot on the gas and roll through these teams.

I am hoping the DLine gets a lot of pressure. Well timed blitzes will be key as well. With TC and Armbrister, I like the coverage by our backers. We need to bring the pressure all game.

This is just one of those games. IDGAF how we do it, or how it looks. Just get the W.

Everybody acting all skiddish about UNC. **** that 38-14 Canes.

It isn't skiddish. We have **** the bed many many times against teams we should roll. Until this team shows us they can do it week in and week out, every right to act skiddish.

Like i said before this game will show me everything about this team. Get past this game and i really feel this team will roll into tally and beat FSU...

UNC sucks and our division within the conference is worse. We should dominate from start to finish. UNC doesnt posses the ability to beat Miami.

Yup. We're nowhere near the point where we should be worried about style points. Granted, if the program is ready to take the next step the game shouldn't be in question come 4th quarter. That said, a 3-2 victory is still a victory.

This will be the most adversity we've faced since Florida.

Weather, uniforms, Thursday, road game, top 10 ranking.

As long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot I think we can take these guys.

You cannot give Reputation to the same post twice.

The **** I cant.....much rep

Great job, we've not played well against the Heels for quite a while. They are talented. One key thing we have to do is not let the QB get comfortable. A few sacks, hurries and throwaways would be nice. Early lead would also be a big help. Thanks again for a great analysis. I live in NC and you do a better job than most of the local sports reporters...especially Brett Friedlander (Inside the ACC).

Dan wrote the post to give you a sample of what they bring to the table, so he has a full analysis. Kudos!

Here is my updated post from last week to reflect the current record of UNC's opponents and NCAA stat rankings...

October 17 at UNC, each team will be coming off a bye week.

UNC is 1-4 (0-2)

NCAA Stats

Scoring D: 31.4 PPG (90th)
Total D: 436 YPG (94th)
Rushing D: 197.2 YPG (101st)
Passing D: 238.8 YPG (73rd)

Scoring O: 23.6 PPG (3rdh)
Total O: 392.8 YPG (76th)
Rushing O: 100.0 YPG (114th)
Passing O: 292.8 YPG (23rd)

Schedule

Win: MTSU 3-4 (1-2)

Losses: @ USCe 5-1 (3-1), @ GT 3-3 (2-2), ECU 4-1 (2-1) and @ VT 6-1 (3-0)

Combined W/L: 21-10 (11-6)

Outscored: 118 to 157

Specific Players:

Playmaker: TE Eric Ebron 23 for 333 & 2 TDs

QB: Not sure who they are going to start, Williams played because Renner was injured. Williams is the future and looked pretty good against VT: 23 of 35 for 277 yards 2 TDs 2 INTS and 18 Rushes for 56 Yards.

If they go with Renner, they don't have that rushing threat at the QB position. For a team that is 114th in the nation in rushing offense, they may want to go with the future Williams.
