Flip schedules and we're undefeated and ranked and duke is 2-2.
Means nothing.
Speaking of pathetic defenses, Dukes is worse than ours and that is literally playing no one. Elon, Troy, Kansas and Tulane.

Seriously if we lose this game, Golden needs to not even board the bus and catch a cab to the airport and get out of dodge.

There is no way no how we lose this game. I don't care how inept and stubborn D'onforio and Golden maybe calling a defensive game plan.

Miami 43
Duke 27

Who gives a **** what their schedule is, Klan

Didn't you say that last year?

Problem is, Golden is still here.

And Butch isn't.

Golden will stack the box. Once he gets burned by the deep pass, he'll revert right back to his homosex scheme. Just like he did against Nebraska.

This will be a high scoring game. If I were a gambler I'd go with Duke for one reason. The Miami program is in disarray. There is talk of coaches getting fired, players having to stand up for their coach, players upset that their coach threw them under the bus, etc. Teams in these types of situations don't play well.

Look for the players on the defensive side of the ball to quit in this game. If Duke gains yards in chunks like NU did, its gonna get real ugly.

****, I didn't realize they were ranked. Right now Golden is probably touching himself thinking about all the lines he can (and will) use to spin this one in the post-game, win or lose. Meanwhile, Coley is trying to figure out what adjustments can be made to the offense to continue their game-to-game improvement, and Onofrio is working on a way to have the safeties play from the stadium's upper level.

This board is going to be a ******* blast to read Saturday night.

And the "Who to be scared of" had me dying, Dan. This ******* defense, just unreal.

Ohh there are plenty of ways we can lose this game. However, Ifthis defense comes out with ANY kind of fire and can get off the field a couple of times early in the game. Then the offense needs to score early and often to make them a bit more one dimensional. Thats what used to make our teams great, we stopped you early, scored A LOT early then forced you to play catch up which makes you one dimensional.

Now the question is, can we stop them? And can we not shoot ourselves in the foot late to give them extra possessions. I guess we will have to see on Saturday. I think a win in this game can go a long way to building some confidence for this team. THough most fans have given up hope on the season, I am hoping the team has not. I follow the team too closely all season long to just watch us lay down the rest of the season.....

If we don't come out and play a 4-3 then I'll be convinced they're trolling us. We can't stop the run playing this 3 - 4

DE Kamalu - Harris
DT Pierre - Moten
DT Heurtelou - Jenkins
DE Chickillo - Thomas

LB Armbrister - McCord
LB Perryman - Owens
LB Kirby - Grace

Geez, we're talking about upsetting Duke, #BringButchBack

With almost a year to prepare (after last years beating) and better athletes we should win this game. But after the beating we took at Louisville and Nebraska being close at the end of the game may be the only victory we get this week. Stack the box ,go man and see what happens, could it be any worse.

I hate Duke.

I respect Nebraska and the running heritage but I hate Duke. We don't need to lose to Duke again.

From the summary I realized something that may pay a role in the line move to 7 point favorites. There is a long whispered angle that an unranked team favored over a ranked team covers the spread more often than not. In recent seasons the percentage is higher than typical. It works in college football and basketball. It generally happens midway to later in the season. This is fairly early. I play the angle myself but only in a case of the unranked team being one that was rated much higher than the opponent in preseason. That doesn't qualify here. I lean to Duke plus the points although I haven't wagered so far. Maybe 7.5 will show up.

Regarding college basketball, I would use that angle a ton back when I gambled. Anytime I saw an unranked team favored, I'd take it. I'd also closely look at games where the lower ranked team was favored. I used to hit on quite a few of those.

What's worse? Losing to Duke? Or beating Duke and having Golden get to say he beat a ranked opponent?

If we win, Golden is going to be insufferable. Up there gloating about how we beat a "really good team tonight." Our guys fought hard, proud of them, blah blah. You'll think we must have just smashed Bama the way he'll talk, but it'll be Duke. Duke.

That fat loaf will be dancing and crying in the locker room like he won the NC. It's gonna happen so be ready.

Al is going to rupture his spleen doing the Larranaga Shuffle in the locker room after a single digit win.
