This is a huge weekend for the Canes before Indiana game week. The Canes are focusing on seven official visitors. Here are the names:

- QB Sam Leavitt (Arizona State)

The 6'2, 205-pound West Linn, OR native threw for 2,885 yards, 24 TDs and 6 INTs with another 443 yards and 5 TDs rushing in 2024 and won a Big 12 title. He missed most of 2025 with a foot injury. LSU and Tennessee are Miami's primary competition, with Lane Kiffin visiting Leavitt at the Knoxville Airport Friday before he left to Miami. He has two years of eligibility.

- OT Josiah Thompson (South Carolina)

Thompson is a 6'7, 300-pound, former-five star from Dillon, SC. He was named freshman All-SEC in 2024 and started every game at left tackle in 2025. He played both ways, played basketball and threw shotput in high school. Georgia is Miami's main competition with Markel Bell potentially upping his NFL stock. He has two years of eligibility.

- LB Rasheem Biles (Pittsburgh)

One of the best linebackers in the ACC, Biles made 101 tackles, 17 TFL, 4.5 sacks, six pass deflections, and two interceptions in 2025. He is a Columbus, OH native with one year remaining of eligibility. Biles has already visited Michigan, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State and Colorado.

- TE Pearce Spurlin (Georgia)

The 6'8, 250-pound Spurlin was the #2 TE in America coming out of Santa Rosa Beach on Florida's panhandle. He played six games as a true freshman in 2023 but was forced to step away due to a congenital heart condition. He has since had open-heart surgery and is fully cleared. He has three years of eligibility and is coming off a visit to Florida.

- WR Cam Vaughn (West Virginia)

The 6'2, 185-pound Vaughn is a Temple, Georgia and two-time transfer. He played his first year at Jacksonsville State before transferring to West Virginia. Over the past two seasons, he has caught 83 passes for 1,344 yards (16.2 yards per catch).

Miami nickel coach Terry Jefferson and safety Zechariah Poyser were both at Jacksonville State when Vaughn was there. He has two years of eligibility.

- DE Caleb Herring (Tennessee)

A native of Mufreesboro (near Nashville), the 6'5, 245-pounder is a former Top 100 prospect who made 14 tackles with six tackles for loss and four sacks on a career-high 369 defensive snaps in 2025. He has one year of eligibility. Texas is the primary competition.
