Miami's plan before the season was to win, flip '26 players, and get off to a fast start in '27. They hope Saturday can be another step forward. Below is the latest in recruiting.

- There is a massive visitor list for the UF game. Here are just some of the top out-of-state players visiting:

2026

Jackson Cantwell
Nolan Wilson (Alabama commit)
Tyriq Green (Georgia commit)
Tyson Bacon
Ben Congdon
Camdin Portis
Jontavius Wyman
Cortez Redding
Isaiah Broughton (UNLV commit)
Marquez Daniel (Florida commit)

2027

David Jacobs, Jr. (5* DE) (second visit this season)
Tyson Robinson (4* RB)
Quinton Cypher (4* LB)
Jaxon Dollar (4* TE)
Joshua Sam-Epelle (4* OT)

This list is incomplete and growing. There will be more five-star visitors.

- Three under-the-radar defensive tackles to track: Frederic Sainteus (6'4, 275 from Naples), Logan Nagle (6'5, 270 from North NJ/NYC area) and Isaiah Broughton (6'4, 300 from Houston). Miami feels these players have the body types needed to compete for championships. The Canes are aggressively evaluating this position, including tracking the performances of highly ranked and high-value players as seniors.

- Some commits that are impressing on their senior film: WR Somourian Wingo (St. Augustine), QB Dereon Coleman (Orlando), the entire offensive line class, CB Jaelen Waters (Tampa), Izzy Briggs (Visalia, CA), and LB JJ Edwards (Orlando).

- The Canes love recent 2026 reclass Luke Brewer (Des Moines, IA). The 6'5, 233-pounder is having an outstanding start to his season. He’s visited Miami four times.

- In general, I expect the Canes to sign a lot of players. Given the changing rules and expected roster movement in college football, the Canes want to add as many championship-quality high school players as possible. For example, I wouldn't be surprised if we took 3 safeties and 4-5 WRs.

- Trent Seaborn (Birmingham, AL) remains the top target at QB for 2027. He told me he was impressed by the atmosphere at the USF game and loved the young receivers. This was his third visit of the calendar year. I expect the Canes to keep pushing here.

The visitor list this week is insanity....per usual with Mario during big games.

We gotta win and we gotta show out. Pack that place out, be crazy people, and smack this second rate program around in front of the most talent any stadium in America will showcase.

Need more big names on the 2026 list. Would to see more of our current commits.

I know the list is still growing but I would like to see more of our flip targets attending. This will be, by far, our biggest home game of the year. Here is where we need to show out; gameday atmosphere along with the product on the field

Marquez Daniel, the Gator commit?

with mario you know you have a better chance of personally being allowed to see the area 51 than that list. Wait until gameday and once pictures start circulating names will leak. If they publish it now there is always fear of the last minute bag to prevent the visit.

There were many times over the last 22 years when I didn't think all this would be possible. Am I dreaming? Mario is the coach that we dreamed he would be here.

Gators have a lot of talent though. We gotta start the game tuned-up (but disciplined) on Saturday. This is where Mario wanted us to be when he came home.
