What’s the ceiling of this current class?

We’re currently 11th (after LSU lost a commitment today). Closer to 13-14 considering who probably passes us, but they still have to do so.

Say we win out - what’s the ceiling? How many quality flips?

Highest would probably be 8th if i had to guess

I thought they would fall off but I know them boys are going to use that portal.
Theyll keep the class for this year due to their record and theyll start out hot in the 2025 class but if they regress to the mean record wise next year they'll be back to their regular scheduled 12-15 range classes again.

We are fu**** at qb. JB is bouncing, Judd is a dud until proven otherwise and Emory is not going to take us to the next level. We desperately need elite level talent there, and one who is not a **** statue.

Their LB and Edge recruiting is atrocious and has been for several classes. TE before this year was pretty bad as well. Other positions have been ok but when you drill down they really dont have good young pieces across the board in their program right now.

I believe Omar Graham is the best LB they have signed in several years. At DE, Pat Payton is alright but I don’t see him as a difference maker.
Pat Payton starts there..and over their transfer portal additions at edge. He is good.

LB situation they gonna need to portal.

All their te's come back. And have arguably the best te committed.

They got holes for sure though....this is the year they have to capitalize. The fall wont be drastic in my opinion but it may be a step back. Benson has another year as well. To me on offense everything goes witht hem being able to run the ball and play off of that. Behind Benson they are mid.

Serious question, has someone reliable said JB was leaving or is this a CIS rumor? Either way we are going to have to hope a supposed dud turns it around I highly highly highly doubt an elite talent will be playing for Miami at QB in the next year or two.

Just smoke, but reading between the lines, this would make a ton of sense. Sucks because he could do so well behind the oline.

This whole team should be trying to return and go on a run in 2024 the schedule is favorable.

I would feel great about our future if we pull enough to finish 8th in recruiting. Some solid players in that 2022 class. 2023 was loaded. 2024 would be loaded if we finish there. Not to mention some of my favorite in the class are 3 stars or low 4 star rated. Pruitt, Lofton, Thomas, Plazz, and Broussard. Those are 5 top 200 guys in my opinion - none of them even rated in the top 300.

I'm not even trying to overrate the kid but Bobby Pruitt is in the Harold Perkins mold. Perkins had 15 extra pounds coming out of HS but if Pruitt can add that and keep the explosiveness.. you have the same type of player. Maybe not quite as fast and explosive but similar traits. Some kids end up even more twitchy with the right S&C program if they have the frame. He's the typical kid going to Alabama, Auburn, or LSU and turning into a top 3 round pick.

the 2 you named arent definate nfl guys.

Our fans overrate Wilson alot. He has more drops than he has tds and catches and is slow. Hes a split te in the league though.
Bell is a tweener.
Wilson isn't Coleman but he's a problem due to his freakish size. I can see Bell coming back.

That’s not quite dead, but it’s not looking good.

He’s impressed with the defense for sure, but I’m pretty sure he’s like everyone else…and wanted to see the program take a leap forward.

I believe he’ll be back down for the Louisville game this weekend, but I’m not 100% certain.
If FSU is gonna get JJ, you for sure need to do everything in your power to at least end the class with Ellis to counter that.

He cant catch and wont get much eperation. If i m huim i declare though because his clear weaknesses are there to see this year.
Someone would jump due to him being 6'6 230 and think they can make him into a Travis Kelce- Jimmy Graham.

If he tests well, which I doubt, he go in the 3rd to 4th round range.

Not just our fans.. Someone is selling him being a 1st round pick to recruits or something. I've seen a few of them say they developed 2 first round receivers or whatever... Coleman.. fine.. but they didn't develop him. They gave him exposure with an actual offense

Wilson might be a 3rd round pick and slipping every time he drops a pass and looks like he has the coordination of a wounded giraffe. Someone is going to take him and see if they can have a Kyle Pitts or Jimmy Graham type. He's in the same mold as Oronde Gadsden II and (injury aside) I'd be taking him over wilson 100% of the time and he's likely a 2nd rounder at best.

Doubt it will be first round. Like you said, his upside is a pass catching TE which just doesn’t get picked all that high. There Bowers is potentially generational and I expect him to fall into the teens. This kid is a day two pick at best. Coleman on the other hand is off the board by the teens.

That's all miierda. Not wat ur saying but the projections. I mean seriously would anyone that actually watches the Canes take LT in the 1st 3 rounds. Gerald Willis had a legit grown *** man year, LT has never looked like Willis caliber to me.
100%. It's like they are ranking them of projections and measureables. On field performance doesn't match it all. I think Kinchens has actually regressed and obviously has dealt with and played thru injuries. JW has improved in some things but still seems to have no desire to properly tackle and is good for 1 or 2 super costly bone headed penalties per game. LT season is no where near the season Willis had but I know there were off the field concerns with Willis so I sure that hurt his draft stock
