Abudllah can add weight after he comes in. But as a LB his 40 time being better than the 40 times of our both committed elite RB's is very telling.

We took Wilder who is the same size and slower then Abdullah but we won't take Abdullah...(according to those in the know on here) Makes no sense to me.

How about skills? Way more to being a football player than size and speed.

Wilder was 190 after track season 252cane.

No idea what that means Oicu812.

Pete said it on here that he thought Abdullah was the best player on Carol Citys defense last year. What more do we need to see here?

If we are only taking 2 LBers? Then fine. Abdullah would be out.

But if we take 3-4 LBers and Abdullah isnt one of them. That would be a head scratcher. Esp if we take Reese or Sherwood over him.

I refuse to believe Jobe is 178. He looked huge out there.

For the record, I've stated since August of last year that I felt Surtain was overrated & is not the #1 ranked CB in Florida.

Yall know me, I'm not downplaying him just because he's not coming to Miami, I've seen him play live & have never felt he was this Elite CB that's the undisputed best in nation.

Imo, Samuel is the best pure cover corner in Florida, regardless of whether he comes to Miami or not & to me, Tyson Campbell is the best CB on AH.

Surtain is a really good player, he's no doubt top 5 among the 2018 DB's, but I don't think he's as good as he is rated.

Imho, the best CB in the nation is Anthony Cook from Lamar Texas, he's not coming to Miami either, but I think he's a true Elite Ballhawk lockdown CB, with 10INT's on his career despite missing part of his Junior year with an injury.

Surtain Jr only has 4INT's for his career... So does Al Blades Jr.

I could be wrong, but I'm sorry, I don't see the #1 ranked CB in the nation when I watch Surtain Jr play, I see a really good CB/S who if he was named Patrick Sartin Jr would be a 4-star & not as highly touted.

I think Campbell will be the better player but you can't call Campbell the best CB on heritage if surtain started over him at cb last year while he played more nickel and free safety

Why not? I'd strongly argue that, particularly in HS, a safety has a larger impact on a defense than a CB. Maybe Campbell was seen as the more versatile and rangy of the 2 and thus made more sense to play him at FS. Doesn't mean he is any less capable as a CB.

Because Campbell has played far less at cb than surtain had at this point and you would know this if you watch the film. However Campbell does have some great tools that will project well at the position at the next level

I think I said it in this thread or another one..I need to get a "second opinion" on Jobe and GHalls height and weight. For these two dudes to measure out at 5'11 175 range seems crazy to me. They both look like they are 6'1 easily on film. Esp Jobe.

Somebody call Mark Richt and tell him, I'm sure he is waiting for his approval.

You're not gonna get a ton of INT's when you're playing man. That's all Heritage plays.

I said the same thing about Gurvan Hall lol

Maybe it's just something wrong with our eyes lol...

Most of these kids don't know how to maximize their times on the 40. I think the shuttle and vertical are the most indicative of burst and acceleration. If you want to check out their long speed, best to check out highlights and see if they run away from comp or get run down.

I'm aware of that, the point was that he's thrown at quite a bit & he hasn't been this lockdown Supreme Being that he's touted as.

I've never said the kid wasn't any good, I'm simply saying I don't see him as THE best CB in the Nation.

Isn't it funny how the ignorant are often the most confident?

Anthony Schwartz 6-0, 172. 4.34 40, 4.07 shuttle, 33.8 vertical

WANT!!!

So Schwartz had a 4.07 shuttle. But, But, But..... he is only straight line fast. lol

So lets be technical and fair about it...most routes are straight line based, not shuttle based tho right?

Shuttle times allows a person to be able to evaluate an athletes change of direction. The narrative being spread by CIS mongloids about Schwartz is he is just a straight line speed guy. So my comment was directed toward those guys like SC-Cane, californiacane, ect.

I'd argue that the shuttle is one of the testing events that varies most based on technique. If a dude has good agility and has good shuttle technique, it'll show up. If a dude has good agility but doesn't approach the shuttle run right, they can easily put up a terrible time.

Yeah I hear you. I don't know if he is or not but I'm pretty sure I saw our new preferred walk-on kill him in the state championship game.

One would think this would be more for defensive measurements, rather than for a WR. I get the logic, I dont get the correlation with a WR. Then again, I'm not a scout of talent. But I'll take a 4.34 40 any day of the week.

You are correct sir... Marshall Few from Ponte Vedra ran a clinic on AH's secondary in the State title game.
AH still won though lol
