I watched them.

FSU beats FIU everyday
FAU ... FSU is improving (fast enough?) but I really have no idea if they beat FAU. I’d give them the nod, though.
FIU should no doubt be last. FAU has a legit RB and would probably test FSU. But I’d have to watch FSU and see.

Look at how they play for 3 quarters ... for 3 minutes ... or 3 days after the game is played?

The Miami game was 31-17 not 31-0, did you not watch the rest of the game?
Did you watch the UF game when they dismantled UT?
Or the FAU/UCF where the game was almost close?

Because if you’re looking at “how teams play, not the score”, then I just want to know what you’re looking at?
You do realize fiu scored those points on backups right? Did you watch the game?

That has nothing to do with it. It would be like discounting when Knowles is in or when Rosier is QB. We know what we know. Power rankings should have some semblance of a criteria; something a few us feel is lacking.

But, let’s forget about FIU/FAU for a second. Do you really believe that USF/UCF are better than UF?
Can't really answer your question because I haven't watched 1 second of uf football... watched fsu need a late comeback to beat samford and get destroyed by vt though. I do believe usf&ucf would boat race samford... no way fiu or fau loses or trails samford either.

Haven't seen enough of any of those teams yet, but from what I have seen, USF and UCF may very well be better than UF, but it's too early to say. But based on the fact that USF and UCF have won their games, it's fair to rank them ahead. UF has not looked good.

You do realize UT is just utter ****, wait for the rest of the season for UF good chance they only win 3 more games here on out.

“Haven't seen enough...”
“USF and UCF may very well be better than UF...”
“But based on the fact that USF and UCF have won their games...”

You’re hedging and guessing and trying to fit a narrative into a conclusion.

Florida has not looked good? By what measure? Does PSU also not look good because of their OT win over App St? There is no reasonably objective person who would conclude that USF/UCF could win a game over UF this weekend. UF lost to Kentucky. As of right now, it’s not a bad loss.

But you want to rank UCF/USF over UF because, and I quote you, “based on the fact that USF and UCF have won their games, it's fair to rank them ahead”, but rank Miami, which lost to LSU (badly) ahead of all the other teams, yet Miami hasn’t played anyone either. This is either satire or comedy or are you going for the full Shakespeare and reproducing a tragedy?

Without a doubt I'd pick UCF over UF if they played this weekend. Yes, Miami had a loss, week 1 against what is now a top 6 team in the nation, in a game where we outgained them but shot ourselves in the foot over and over again. Would we beat them if we played them again? Probably not, but it would not likely be a blowout. UF lost to a Kentucky team that is nowhere near as good as LSU. Kentucky's claim to fame is beating a vastly overranked MSU team that had no business being 14 to begin with.

Yeah, he’s losing credibility each and every week pandering to the “we hate FSU/UF…” crowd. UCF did nothing to lose their lead. He should have waited until they played Pitt but he wants to forget that Miami played a horrid 4th quarter. And, then he ranks UF behind USF and UCF, even though UF beat a “P5” Tennessee and Miami beat G5 Toledo. And UF’s loss to Kentucky, like Miami’s loss to LSU, doesn’t look quite as bad now.

In all fairness, Miami had the subs in in the 4th Qt.

I look at how teams play, not the final score.

Sure.

As dominant as Miami was defensively for two and a half quarters not being able to put more than 31 on FIU needs to be taken into account as well. Games are four quarters and Miami played a very poor final 20 minutes of football against FIU.
