Any reason why the host on the WQAM morning show said both Simpson and Rumph were let go? Can anyone confirm this?

Not true. Please post accurate information. They read a text that said that and both hosts said they hadn’t heard they had been let go.

That’s how stuff gets started.

Barring contract delays, I’d expect to hear something announced by the end of the week at offensive coordinator. Coming out of the holidays, I’ve heard former UNC head coach Larry Fedora is indeed the leading candidate. I’m told there’s mutual interest here and Manny is working hard to make it happen. I also heard Fedora turned down the FSU OC job earlier this offseason.

The other name I’ve heard thrown around is former Miami OC and current Georgia co-OC James Coley. At least one current staffer is pushing for Coley to get the job. I’m told Manny is absolutely out to make a splash with the hire and is thinking big. For this reason, if Miami can’t come to terms with Fedora, I’d expect other names to emerge first before Coley becomes a leading candidate.

Since Manny won’t settle for anyone too green, if Louisville QB coach Frank Ponce joins the staff, I’m told it would be in the same capacity, not as OC.

For RB coach, I can confirm Miami’s top target is Penn State RB coach Ja’Juan Seider, and there’s mutual interest coming from both sides. The biggest issue is going to be coming to an agreeable figure on the financial side. This is in the early stages so still a lot developing here.

Starting to sound like a swing and a miss on Larry. Settling on Coley would be even bigger, much bigger, disappointment than settling on Manny. Manny needs home run on OC and also on new DC. Current d staff has nobody worthy of DC at Miami.

Coley would clean up in recruiting but I'm not sold on him as a play caller.
Coley was good at game planning and scripting the opening drives during his Miami tenure. His problem would come after the script was done. The offense never had a good flow with him calling plays.

Stephan have you heard any interest with Fedora and Oklahoma State?

Manny already has me hyped up more than any coach the last 15 years. I love that he's shooting for the stars. Selder on the staff would be huge. Would essentially lock up MAR.

If Manny ohlls this all off everybody ripping him will need to kiss his feet. Fedora would be huge especially the way he loves to use rbs and tes here it would be genius. Seider this is home and a Manny like hire with superstar rbs loving him we can get a top 5 in every class with JJS plus he'll close on top recruits like its nothing. Ponce as a qb coach is good actually just take

I think when your mama was the starting middle linebacker for EATaDIK State, they made a special exception during the HC's initial presser.
"Yo mama" jokes on the first post, huh?

Mods, is there not an age requirement to be on this site? My 5 year old son stop telling "yo mama" jokes when he was 3, mainly because my wife slap him in the mouth for calling her old, but you get the point!

How do you get it’s a swing an miss on Larry? Our reading comprehension is different.

Ponce as a qb coach is good actually just dont have him as an oc but most of all you start to build a true SoFlo staff with a dog as the oc. Loving this hire more and more
