A noticeably bigger Langham was at 220 last season and 236 this spring

Any chance Langham can be a player?

The added fat should do wonders for his 4.9 speed. Any time guys get heavier it's a good thing, as we've seen the last several years.

The amount of (bad) weight this kid has put on since high school is ridiculous. I watched him in high school and he was a lanky ballhawk with some ball skills and upside. Now he looks like a bloated Lame Farquharson who has been hawking meatballs instead footballs.

Dude looks sloppy. He was already slow. No way this puffiness can be good for his game.

Yet another problem left behind by the former coaching staff came to light at Day 3 of UM spring football today, which was also the first day in pads: blitz pickup.

If tackling had been permitted, Brad Kaaya might have been pulverized.

“Glad we weren’t allowed to hit the quarterback,” Mark Richt said. “It would have been bad… The offense struggled a little bit. Blitz pickup was a little scary.”

The other problem is “we’re not getting the ball snapped as I quickly as I would like to play,” Richt said. That should come in time, though.

Thanks Corch Kehoe

Blitz pickup also falls on qb rbs and tight ends.

I don't get it. Why are you blaming Kehoe? The quote says "offense" not O-Line. Richt even said it was a combination of O-Line, RBs and QBs that were all having problems with blitz pick up in his after practice interview.

He just doesn't look like an athlete. When you look at Coley, Njoku, Walton, Rashawn Scott, even Herb - those guys look the part. You can tell a stud when you look at him, this kid isn't it. My expectations are low. I can easily see some of the freshman blowing by him on the depth chart.

Looked more like an athlete in high school.

Juwon Young is a man.

He flashed a little last year but if the light goes off for him, he's gonna be a star. Dude has size and physical ability for days. I would imagine (and hope) that this system will be easier for him to pick up an he can be more instinctive and better protected.

I'd prefer that the light goes on for him.

LOL at the folks comparing Langham pics. You can't tell **** from a pic.

Something tells me that had I not blocked out all UM football memories from the last decade I would recall the talk of last year's (and probably the year before) spring being about how the D was dominating and we'd see the proof in the fall. All respect to the staff, but I'll hold my excitement until I see a functioning defense on the field.
