SMU planning to "Stripe Out" its stadium for the Miami game this weekend

Miami fans traveling to Dallas this week will encounter a themed game when the Hurricanes face SMU. The Ponies plan to “Stripe Ford” on Saturday, November 1st, when SMU hosts Miami at Ford Stadium. The stripe-out calls for SMU fans to alternate red and blue sections throughout the stadium.

Here’s a better look at the Ford Stadium map: if you’re planning to disrupt the Stripe Out with some bright Miami orange or green shirts, the visitor sections are located in Sections 218–220

This game will be even more electric, as it also marks SMU’s homecoming night.

I didn’t even know SMU had enough fans to pull off a stripe-out theme. But after looking at some of their games from last season, they actually sold out every single one. So yeah, you can expect a packed house. Still, you better believe that orange and green will be in that stadium.

Mustang’s beware of the Category Five when it comes November 1st.
Do they know that blue and red zebras don’t exist

You’re thinking of 2001 but it wasn’t a white out. That wasn’t a thing until a few year later. The big thing was Adam Taliafero leading the team out of the tunnel for them. He was paralyzed the season prior. Also they had just had an addition to the stadium.
I was at that game as well, when Adam ran out on the field I thought we were cooked.

I got a concert scheduled for Saturday night... Dawson better not **** up my mood.

Are those visitor sections referenced right? I got Section 221 from UM.
I’m a Miami fan living in Dallas. Got season to SMU in 222 just for the UM game.
Went to the SMU v. Syracuse game just to check it out. 221 was kinda mixed (home/visitor). There were several visitors in 222 as well.
Let’s mess up their lame stripe out.
Go Canes 🙌🏼

Your advice is bad here, Breezy. UM fans attending the game should wear white shirts/tops.

1. Some of our crappy Adidas orange can appear reddish on TV.
2. The contrast between blue and green isn't great, either.
3. As the away team playing at noon, hopefully we are wearing white jerseys.
4. The stands would be Red, white, and blue on the week before Veteran's Day, bro!

We should wear camo.

Can mauds merge with the Pink Jersey thread? Komen is based in Dallas, so it is clearly involved in this mess.

My undies are also striped. Just brown in the back.

I’ll be in Section 109 a couple rows off the field. I’ll be wearing a dark Miami hoodie. Stop and say hello. I’ll probably buy you a beer if they sell them inside the stadium. Unless you’re one of the dooshes on this forum. 😎
Great idea for a T-shirt.

“I’m a CIS Doosh”. That way you can spot them before they get close.

SMU stadium is awesome and proof that a city school can have an on campus stadium.

Miami fans take note when you’re visiting Dallas

Take note why exactly? Where you putting a stadium the size of SMU’s on Miami’s campus?

Simple- knock down half of Miami’s campus, rebuild taller, and build a stadium!! Im sure the neighborhood would love it. Plus, the cost would be more than covered by CIS subscriptions.

Like I said, look at how SMU stadium looks when you get to Dallas and take notes.

Also, Highland Park Dallas is more affluent than Coral Gables.

Any roadblocks we have, they also have

When does injury report drop , know they got a lot of key guys hurt

SMU is right off an interstate and UM isn’t. That is a massive roadblock.

Wow. Can the proceeds go to Canes Connection? If we had enough of a contingency, I would probably allow my face to be incorporated into the CIS Doosh logo.

Maybe we can consult those Notre Dame D-bags from Catholics vs Convicts who did their T-shirts...then do the exact opposite. (Here comes a sidebar....) I gotta tell you, watching that stupid effing documentary and seeing those two guys trying to portray themselves as some sort of criminal masterminds for selling non-licensed t-shirts at a football game was some of the cheesiest meets cringiest things I've ver seen on tv. Phew, ok, got that outta my system.

Great idea. And I literally lol'ed when I read it.

Go Canes!
