UM is doing it the right way & these primadonna kids don't like it. They see the $EC schools send 100 letters a day telling them how "you're my #1 guy". Look at what the kids that go to FSU/UF say & look at what our commits say. ALL our commits say that they love the coaching staff because they're honest & let you know how things really are, unlike other coaches. The kids that want to come here AND are good enough to be here, will; simple *** that!! FULL SPEED AHEAD

This Golden hating U School kids stuff is comical.

Someone provide some proof, TIA.

I dont know if Golden is "hating" U school but if you act like there is nothing puzzling going on between the relationship this staff has with Uschool then you are trippin hard.

They say the same thing...LOL. I don't think he's a prima donna. How would you feel if you were one of the top players in South Florida and your local school isn't showing love while schools hundreds of miles away are?

A top rb in sfla just said the coaches dont answer his calls wat more proof do you want

Do college football coaches sit at a desk 24/7?

Do you believe everything you read?

one of premier running backs in the state...im sure coaches dont call him back

this university school stuff has gotten old, getting trolled in 2015 already

The only thing this school is known for is giving their football players "BUS TICKETS" because of the coaches and admin are pointing the kids elsewhere... They will never attend the U as long as they are in place. Its happened way to often!!!

The same can be said for several 7 on 7 coaches and staff's... you don't have to look very far here either to find commonality on where the recruits are going??? This is where things are getting real shady as their is no oversight.

Pretty sure they have an answering machine ijs.

Let's document the U school stuff, fact/rumor.

2015
Jordan Scarlett - by all accounts probably a national top 10 RB in 2015. Claims he's disappointed by level of interest from UM. Recently quoted as saying he hopes Lane goes to Florida (Fact).

2014
Qunicy Wilson - most analysts feel he's a potential very good safety, he is stuck on CB. Claims multitude of offers from pretty much every power in the nation. Seemingly headed to UF. Very vocal leader of the class, holds some level of sway with Ermon Lane.
Richard Yeargin - disappointed no UM interest. Ranked fairly high at need position but valid reports say he may be overrated.
Sean White - wins MVP @ Elite 11. Question from some about his D1 ceiling. Not much interest from us, we already have 3 QBs committed.

2013
Skai Moore - disappointed that UM didn't recruit harder, allegedly turned down Miami offer on/near signing day.
Jordan Cunningham - people felt he was worthy of UM offer (and more), ended up at Vandy.
Maquedias Bain - early on considered a UM lean, ended up with LSU. Rumor is that we backed off heavily. Disagreement about how good he is/was.

2012
No real prospects

2011
No real prospects

2010
Signed David Perry. Thus far a non-factor

*****************************************

I don't know what to make of all that, but I just wanted to get it all on paper.

I suspect one of three things:
1. It's just a very rare situation where the staff really believes that all of these individuals are a little overrated and/or don't fit their system.
2. There's beef with school administrators and/or team Quincy.
3. There's something with the school that they don't want to touch for whatever reason, maybe different than #2 (and I'm not implying or suggesting anything other than it might be a possibility).

I thought the decision to not recruit Wilson was a ballsy one - it says we aren't going to bend over for one kid, even if he holds a lot of pull and is a vocal guy, but it also clearly is having an effect with Lane and maybe others. This is a strategic decision that might hurt in the interim but help long term with the recent instances of Dade kids trying to call the shots in recruiting, buddy/brother tag-along commitments, etc. I don't know yet if it's going to work or not, but there could be some clear logic there if that's the stance. Scarlett baffles me. He looks like a monster to me. I'm unsure if we are really not recruiting him hard or he's a prima donna but we at least seem to be recruiting him lightly relative to other schools, per his description of it.

All of this rambling to say that I have no clue wtf is happening but I sure wish our staff could comment on it. It might be as simple as #1 but the Scarlett thing throws a wrench in that for me.

The reason that they aren't answering his calls is because I am actually their number 1 RB on their board for 2015. I said it so it must be true.

People need to stop taking everything these recruits say as truth. Its a one way street since Miami cannot comment on recruiting.

Don't dial 911 just yet! They haven't had him down on campus to see palm trees! They are at least recruiting him and he said as much. I'm sure their are some studs that would say we are recruiting them harder than FSU and the gaytors. Lots of time to go till 2015. We can't sign every SoM player. Some won't be pursued as intensely as others. It'll always be something about a school that doesn't appeal to a kid. Don't blast the staff because a kid doesn't feel the staff is giving him a Big Gulp size love.

I'm jus sayn first ppl were saying (paraphrasing) "well nobody at Uschool was/is Miami Caliber, from last year and this years class, but J. Scarlett has an offer, thats who the staff wants"

Jordan Cunningham and Maquedius Bain were considered not Miami caliber... both play in the SEC.

When the staff didnt recruit Skai Moore (who was hurt from being ignored by this staff) at all ppl were saying either he isnt Miami caliber or the staff prefers other players.... but then he gets the offer at the last minute even though the staff still thought Matthew Thomas was commiting to Miami???

Also last year Quincy Wilson (who went from being hurt to angry about being ignored by this staff) was considered a lock to be a Cane (b/c of legacy) and a fan favorite on this site... then when it started to become apparent that he wasnt getting an offer this year, now he's not even good enough to be recruited at all.

I dont think Richard Yeargin III has even heard a peep from Miami but I guess he's not good enough either???

Now Scarlett is saying basically the staff isnt acting like they are interested in him either but he was suppose to be hands down one of the top targets in next years class, and no one on this site has denied his talent level....so what else could it be??

All of those kids visited Miami and were evaluated. For whatever reason, only Moore received a committable offer and the other kids didn't fit for one reason or another.

I think everyone saying there is an issue have been swayed by Chad Wilson's sandy ******. We only ever hear the perspective from 1 side so keep that in mind.

Do you think those guys, who all are well aware of the fact that not a single D-1 caliber player from their high school has been recruited by UM, is seriously going to consider committing to UM??? Any little shade they feel from Miami is going to be lumped on to the massive **** pile of drama that has already created a rift between UM and Uschool and is going to distort their view of the situation.

Recruiting is mostly about building relationships with schools thats why certain high schools are considered a "pipeline" to a respective D-1 college. That's part of the reason Miami got Terry McCray..... so they can get their foot back in the door over at Ely.

Everybody at Uschool cant just be a Primadonna only towards Miami??
