The fireworks started early for the Canes with the commitment of S Hylton “Drake” Stubbs.
The 6’1, 190-pound Jacksonville (Mandarin) product ranks as the 56th overall player in the nation and 9th overall player in Florida. As a junior, he totaled 97 tackles (8.5 TFL), 6 INTs, 6 PBU, 3 FR, 2.5 sacks and 2 FF. He also scored 4 two-point conversions as a WIldcat QB for the state runner-ups.
Stubbs committed to USC in March but decommitted following his official visit to Coral Gables. He chose the Canes over Florida. Stubbs played his 7on7 ball for Coach
