I do wonder. But ... I hesitate to criticize Jon Richt because I have no idea what they’ve done to correct this. I have questions about S&C as well, based upon what I see, but I don’t know what they actually do, so I temper my criticism.

Does Miami have Physical Therapists on staff or is it just athletic trainers? Also, how connected are the Physical Therapists, if Miami has them, to S&C? That would be the question I would want to know as a head coach.
Malweak is like a musket. No matter how good your form is...you’re probably still gonna miss.

Can I switch my musket for an M4 already?

i cant belive as a 5th year senior this kid was not embarrassed to talk like this. smh

I wish you’d switch back to his real name. Trashing kids ain’t my thing (yes, I see it’s yours).

Hey, I HOPED Malik Rosier would be better this year (I was hoping for a 5% improvement …) or that someone else would beat him out, neither has happened to date. But, I’m backing him because I can’t make decisions for Mark Richt and he’s a player for the Miami Hurricanes.

Again, I have no idea what they do ... but I have to wonder what the coaches are teaching or seeing that the rest of us are missing.
I have no problem making fun of a MAN my own age. You’re not a kid anymore at 23.

Some dudes are just inaccurate guys but coaches scheme their game plans to keep it up(see duke 2015) but you can’t do it more than 3-4 games or people catch on. It’s obvious Kosi or Jarren would do a better job but Kosi is on moderately better and even though Jarren would be a complete 180 and would launch this team into orbit he’ll get killed behind this line...which is probably why he wasn’t handed the keys in the first place.

I also believe that it’s a bad excuse, but Dugans also commented on it. I have to think that they believe Thomas is “running into coverage” (because the backside hasn’t had a chance to clear).

When I first heard it it sounded so ridiculous that I thought he really meant something else. So it makes sense that he would be referring to JT running more controlled routes as opposed to just slowing down to make it easier for Rosier.

IN MY OPINION, Richt has not given anyone a legit chance to beat him out

“Even since Brad [Kaaya’s] been here, we kind of have a thing that the goal is 65-percent or better,” Rosier said. “Accuracy and completion are two totally different things. So, like, you can throw an accurate ball, receiver drops, but it is still accuracy if it is not a completion.”

LOL

Lets get to 55% first there hero

Rosier and his talent/production aside, it’s unfair to say he should have all his mechanics down because he’s a 5th year senior. I played college baseball for 4 years and 1 year in the minors. I garuentee guys in the league have mechanical flaws and are always improving their mechanics. From an athletic standpoint you’re always working on them. There’s also and ebb and flow to it and you might have new habits develop over time as others are corrected. Also, being only his second year starting he was going 3 years without his mechanics getting testing in a real game. I can go out now and practice hitting again and look like a major leaguer but in a live game will look completely different. That being said, the difference in great athletes is being able to have a real feel for mechanics and intentionally be able to change them and adapt quickly, which clearly Malik cannot. I don’t know the details of his specific mechanical and balance issues but if it’s something that he just can’t get then maybe he’s just at his physical limitations

26 is actually the peak age physical capacity.

This is sad. Malik seems like a really good dude, I wish him nothing but the best. Him not taking fundamentals of the position serious shows his passion and dedication to the game.

So Richt should replace him with........wait for it........another second year player.

Malik is who he is.

If Jarren Williams isn't ready fine. Richt has his "guys" in the program now. If Perry, Weldon and Williams are as bad as Rosier PUT THEM IN because at this point we are just wasting time on the young guys.

All of this falls back to Richt.

He's not embarrassed to do anything because he seemingly has complete job security from the coaches. Einstein would be proud of these genius coaches for their ability to see great things with Rosier while no one else can.

Voila! It's too late in the game for Rozier to make any IMMENSE changes in his passing and what not.

i'm still not sure how anyone seriously thought that he would make some immense jump between his 4th and 5th year.
